According to the press he is surplus to requirements.

He rarely plays so I would imagine its mutual if its true.

I think he would be an excellent buy. Very clever player. Probably get him for less than 8m too.

I like the idea. Isn't he more of a CAM though? We have a lot of them already. Can he sit deeper and be a modric type midfielder? I haven't really paid close attention to him but from what I've seen I'd be happy to offload 2 of our midfielders and take him on.

An attacking trio of Eriksen, Lamela and Kagawa would be fantastic to watch. All three are very clever players. If they were given time, playing alongside Soldado, we could be very good going forward. Not much width or pace, but a hell of a lot of intelligence and skill.

I would swap for Lennon.
But defence is a more pressing matter.

Cant really get a game for united, for a reason. Hes just not that good, or should I say not suited to the premier league. He plays in a position we dont need and I think people want him for his pre united reputation not kagawa how he actually has performed

I think Dortmund like Arsenal had a great system in place which made their team greater than the sum of the indivduals playing for them - all of whom while great for them would not necessairly be able to reproduce that form away from Klopp and his system/team

Everyone was crying when Liverpool got Sahin last year yet he did nothing of note and Kagwawa has produced very little in a Utd shirt

Firstly defence is key. Secondly, we are loaded up with CAM's. So although a nice idea, "No place for you, sir!"

People probably said all this about Sturridge too before this season.

Neither of them have been played in position by the respective teams, Kagawa in particular an odd buy from the start. A more cynical person might say he was procured by Man United purely for exposure in Japan and the Far East and that he was doomed from the start because Rooney was always in his spot, which is a shame as he's perfect for the fast, incisive attacking style that Man United were once great at.

yes please, the more intelligent players the better. for us to get top players we either have to get them before they become top, or take advantage in situations like this where their stock is low(er) for whatever reason. moyes not getting the best out of a player isn't a reason to deter us.

Fergie didn't either.

Fergie didn't either.

settling in season, still managed 6 goals and 3 assists in 17 starts, not sure if lennon/townsend/siggy/chadi even have that between them. good player low on confidence with a manager playing him out of position and not getting the best out of him, much like most of their squad.

I think he is a much better player than given credit for, I agree it helps being played in the system that suits you etc but he is still a class player, as for Moyes well he doesn't seem to get the best out of anything at the moment, even his star player from his previous club!

Sahin was played out of position and so was Kagawa. Lets play Sandro RW and call him shit.

I agree he isn't needed and will probably go dortmund
More chance of us signing Rio than Kagawa if Tim is still around next year
Ah yes because tim is english he wants english players like eriksen and Isco
