bit of both, probably. Chances are they are estimating anyway, and by doing so they are missing out the bonuses which would top up his (and most Spurs first XI players) salary to somewhere closer to the top.

But if you look at the players, almost all are from the few teams we know we can't compete with in terms of wages (yet). Benteke, Rooney and Hernandez the only others.

That would be true if he hadn't scored a single goal this season...but our contracts are highly incentivised so id guess hes earned a fuckload more than that.

It never gets mentioned as it doesn't follow the narrative.

Oh look, he has the same basic salary as Chelsea's most important player. No news story about that though is there?

Levy has got exactly the right idea in my opinion - pay sensibly but incentivise heavily. I wonder what Kane's goal bonus is...

Next season, we’ll have 25k more fans every home game. If those £25k buy a season ticket at an average of £1k each, we’ll have an extra £25M. Just give Kane all that money, which works out as an extra £480,700 ish a week. That should do it.

Think it was meant to be £20k. Then add appearance bonus. Win bonus. Bonuses for getting into the cl (under harry our wages went from around £60m to £90m when we qualified).

If there is embarrassment it is that clubs pay some ludicrous wages without players actually having to do much.

I'm not sure but reckon at this rate it could be cheaper to give him a £300k salary with no bonuses

He has a ridiculously high goal bonus. Pretty sure he’s close to doubled his salary thanks to that!

What's the daily fail worried about. Tomorrow they'll be telling all and sundry that he's off to Madrid in the summer.

Top 8 players play for UTD, City or Chelsea.

A Russian oligarchs plaything

An Arab whose personal wealth at one time was reportedly $38 billion U.S

and Utd, whom IIRC sees them pocket at least £400 million more than us in revenue.

Seems they've overlooked thsee itsy witsy lickle facts.

Gotta hate the haters.

All wages should be incentivised. Maybe it would stop a lot of players coasting or not committing to the team when on the pitch. Can understand players going through "bad form" spells but cannot comprehend how some (not talking about our squad) players just coast through a game without even putting in any effort.

Coasting you say.

I'd take their feckin gloves off for a start. Run you horrible little srcotums, run, i feckin tell ya, you'll soon warm up.

None of this chuckle brothers football either. To me, to you, to me, to you. Feck off, I'll hack yer feckin leg off at the shoulder.

As you can see, It's all about throwing a friendly arm around the players to get them playing for you.

...yet we all know - Kane included - that there are clubs out there willing to offer him £300,000++ a week. Right now.
Thus saying, not being from the UK, it looks very much to me that the press love to target Spurs in any negative way possible. No matter what Spurs do in a positive sense the English press seem compulsed to look for any negative twist.
F.ex. when when Spurs beat Real M. the press was full "info" of all the Spurs players that would soon end up in Real M. and/or Barca.

Here’s an idea. Stop paying all players too much. All the players on that list are on too much but we don’t hear that about player wages now like we did a few years ago.

Now teams are lauded for giving players £200,000 a week. It’s fucking insane.
