Harry Kane has said the absence of new signings at Tottenham Hotspur this summer has given the club’s existing players “huge belief” after they continued their perfect start to the season with victory over Manchester United.

We didn't sign one player in the last window, it appears that it hasn't affected the team spirit or ethos.

Lucas is like a new signing.

My only issue now is how does Son get back into this team when he returns from the Asian games?

Good problems to have I guess.

Lamela too could be looked at as a ‘new signing’

Yeah. I was reflecting on this last night. Can be seen as a good thing

Goes to show that signing new players doesn't always strengthen the team, it would have been nice to bring someone in and still disappointed in not signing Grealish but you have to trust the management of Poch and Levy, ultimately they're in the driving seat and know what they're doing.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

After the initial thought of no signings, i remembered (i think) that @Hercules said we bought Lucas basically early and he could have been a summer signing, that coupled with Toby hopefully focused for the season at least, we are not in bad shape!

Odd, I was told a few times over the summer that all our players would want to leave because of a lack of ambition if we didn't sign anyone.
