P 15 W 2 D 6 L 7 F 28 A 28 PTS 12

More goals for than any team outside the top two, and more goals against than any team but Derby, Sunderland, and Reading... and you think Keane is the problem because he "gets in the way to [sic] much and trys [sic] to do to [sic] much [sic] fancy things."

I disagree with you.

yeh i understand he scores alot but he also seems to get in a way of alot by getting the ball stuck under his feet and things or not passing or just by taking a lash at the ball rather than doing something alot more simple im not questioning keanes ability just sometimes hes the most frustrating player on the pitch.

Keane is frustrating, but hes still our best and most in form player so without him is only gonna be a negative on the team.

I dont find Keane the most frustrating, what i do find frustrating is when both Berbatov and Keane drop off and we find it difficult to do anything in the final 1/3rd, but this isn't just a Keane thing.

Nope definitely not a blessing in disguise.

Keano is not only currently the best froward at Spurs - he's also been one of the best in the league.

My evidence to support this is that he is the highest point scoring forward in The Daily Telegraph Fantasy Football listings and this point system is mainly based on solid fact - assists, goals and the ocassion opinion - star man. I did a thread about this a while back but probably deep in the archives by now.

He is also in the top scorers list and he provides a lot to the team's play - note how Berbatov links with him and their almost telepathic link-up play.

Keano is quality so again I say not a blessing in disguise.

Not sure on this, Malbranque has been playing realy well this season and so has Bale when fit.

Some of his last few games he has been quiet and driffted out of the game. One of the better players this season, but not the best.

True Chris, i would say Malbranque and Keane are on a par, and Bale when fit has been good aswell. Including internationals Keano has already got 15 goals so i think criticsm is slightly harsh

The only good thing that can come of this is that Bent or Defoe gets a run in the side.

However we dont look as good going forward when Keane and Berba arent playing together.

I have to say I agree with you agrdavidsfan, Keane is an enigma. One week he's amazing, another he can be awful, but he'll probably still score. He's impossible to drop, because if the good Keane turns up he's near unstoppable.

My gripe with Keane is that he doesn't bring the best out of Berbatov which I think other players can. Now, at this lots of you will say Berbatov and Keane scored x amount of goals last season etc, but when we play with them together, too often they are both behind play, and we have no one in the box. With Berbatov probably being our best player, we should play to his strengths, which I believe should see him playing behind Bent.

Lot's of people mistake my view for a Keane hating mentality, but it really isn't, he is fantastic, but I believe Berbatov to be better, and should be the striker we work around.

This 3 game spell should give Bent and Berbatov a chance to show what they can do, I may well be wrong.

Im with Nic on this as well, exsept its not a Keane thing, its a partnership thing.

And Keane and Berbatov can work because they are two talented players, but when one is slightly of thier game it can realy effect us.

Yeah, sorry it can work, but I think we potentially have 2 partnerships that would be more effective.

the new champman/FM way of seeing if a player is good

You can make a point without having to become patronising.

The point I was making (as I explained) was that these points show goals and assists as the main point scorers - how is this the same as champman / fm???

Keano has scored more goals and had more assists than most which is a fact!
