Galaxy raid Spurs for ace Keane

April 1, 2008

Robbie Keane is set to quit Tottenham for Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy in a sensational summer move.

Keane’s status as an enduring legend at White Hart Lane is unquestioned following an exceptional six-year stint in north London.

The Republic of Ireland captain joined an elite band of Spurs stars to have scored 100 goals for the club earlier this season.

However, he is set to call time on his career in the Barclays Premier League in order to earn a lucrative move to LA Galaxy, where he would join forces with former England captain David Beckham.

Beckham signed a $250m, five-year deal with Galaxy last summer, and Keane, as a player at the peak of his powers, is expected to pocket a similar amount when he puts pen to paper in LA.

IS IT POSSSIBLE THAT HE COULD PLAY FOR ANOTHER TEAM BESIDES THE LILLYWHITES?

Let him sign a personal contract for 200 million and we receive a transfer fee of 50 million.
