Keegan was their best manager (league table wise and all that) since they last won a trophy, so I don't see this as a completely daft idea.

Having said that, three years or whatever out of football is a long time, will be interesting to see how quickly he can readjust.

well I for one thinks its good news. Theres always room for a character of the calibre of Keegan in the premiership. Glad to see him back, though he could be in a thankless task.

At least we know he won't get sacked, he'll walk long before that. Loved him as a player but no respect for him as a manager.

He also spent more than any other manager in PL history up until his departure.

Ashley is making the same mistake as levy when he appointed Hoddle. He thought with his heart and listened to the fans demands.

I thought King Kev said he was done with football management. Didn't see it coming at all. Still, can't wait to get home and laugh at my barcode housemate, who has insisted Mourinho is coming every time I've spoken to him.
