Juande Ramos is fully aware of the key role in-form Robbie Keane plays for us at the moment.
Captain in Ledley King's absence, Robbie took his tally to nine goals in all competitions - bettered only by Cesc Fabregas - with the opener against Blackpool as we progressed to the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup on Wednesday night.
The Republic of Ireland captain and record goalscorer now has 24 goals to his name in his last 31 apearances for Spurs and is a approaching the magic 100 mark for the club.
"Robbie is a great professional, loves playing football and gives a lot of confidence to the team," said Head Coach Juande after the win against Blackpool.
"He's one of the captains of the team and the experience he has is invaluable.
"We have young players coming up through the team who see him as a reference and it's very important he passes his experience to these players.
"He brings lots of personality to the team and we hope that he can continue in this form until the end of the season."
There was also praise for Paul Robinson. "He produced a tremendous save at 1-0 that helped us preserve the lead and the team managed to hold it together and go on to secure the victory," added Juande.
"We've seen the team play better in the past but to win 2-0 is really important. We want to go as far as possible in the competition and we'll now see where the draw takes us."
