Seemingly ESPN reporting the same. I don' know if they're just rehashing the Star story, but they (correctly, in my opinion) point out that the Austria manager only said that Wimmer would move to England - not specifically to Spurs.

Seems more like the Star (far from the pinnacle of journalistic integrity) trying to get more attention and click-thru than a story about a young, mostly unknown, Austrian CB is normally worth.
Wouldn't be surprised if Arse looked at him but i think that CB is less a focus for them at the moment, with the German, Kolch, Gabriel and then talk of moving Chambers to CB since he signed with them.....
If Wimmer was a CDM i think it would be more concerning but as he is a CB this just seems like The Star reaching for a story to drive interest.

Aren't Arsenal meant to be signing Dragovic? Can't see why they could possibly need them both... if they want to swap it's fine by me, he is a real talent as well.

Never seen him play and only heard of him a few months ago but whilst I'm for it if he has the potential some of you are saying, I still feel we really need a first team centre back now. I like Dier and Vertonghen on paper but the goals conceded will show that for whatever reason it's not working. Strange how a few months ago Fazio was dropped just as he was finding his feet...

during todays friday afternoon kickabout i sidelined the only koln fan in xian and asked him about young herr vimmer. he said great prospect, real potential, but quite a way from the finished article.
