Good luck to him.felt he did a decent job when called upon and was unlucky to be dropped when verts regained fitness.think he will turn out to be a decent signing for stoke at the prices quoted.

Yeah good luck Kev.

Just the victim of a really good partnership formed by two players that have played together for years. I am sure he would have done a great job for us if called upon more regularly.

£18m sounds a bit low to me in the current climate :-(
Can't expect a player who simply doesn't play any more to yield Summer-2017-Style-Madness profits regardless of the movement of the market. I think it's a fair price for both sides.

Don't know why anyone is complaining about 18m for someone who played about 15 games for us. We bought him for 4m or something. And ultimately he wasn't good enough when called upon last season albeit in a usually weakened side, did a good job when Jan got injured the season before.

Did a very good job for us the season before last when Jan was out, but looked off the pace last year.

I think he'll do well at Stoke though. Good luck to him.

I had high hopes for Kevin. He was unfortunate Jan and Toby have played so well. A very talented CB and I think given game time he will be class.

Especially when Nathan Ake went for 20m!

It's still good business but I do feel like we could've gotten more.
Ake should cost more imo.

He's younger, more versatile, and most importantly he's proven to be a top player for them and that's a big value.

He played twice as much as Ake did for Chelsea last season...

And yet Wimmer played fewer games than Ake played overall last season, because Ake was on loan at Bournemouth for some of it. Ake only went for £2m more than Wimmer, it's not like we've been totally mugged by Stoke.

Good luck to him I say, think he will do well at Stoke, was great for us when Jan got injured but never really got a chance to replicate that form after Jan came back from injury.

Great signing for Stoke and a nice profit for us.

So, £18m from Stoke for Wimmer, and Liverpool have rejected £25m from Palace for Sakho... have we accepted too little here??

Stoke is a great move for him. He will be a very decent defender for them.
