Agree with you all..........I was at the game in Brisbane and he looked reasonably usefull......but in no way is he good enough for Tottenham on that display alone.......somebody on the Train back said that if we sold Berby, that Kewell would be a good replacement.....well I just basically told them to F**k off....... We do not need another sicknote on the books!!!:duh:

If Kewell could stay injury free for at least a few months and didn't have stupid wage demands then I wouldn't be against us taking a chance on him. However, as neither will happen, it is a case of thanks but no thanks.

18 months ago I'd have loved him (assuming without the hindsight of injury problems). Now, he just isn't going to cut it for a team in our position.

He'd be bloody good for a Blackburn, West Ham or Newcastle (the latter of whom would actually pay his current wages) mind.

It was against Iraq. Marney would look good against Iraq.

Iraq barely have a country..and you wanna rate a players performance against their football team.he should have scored at least 8 goals to impress me in this game

Why would sign a player to our club who can only be bothered to get fit for his country? No thanks.

Being fair Kewell has always looked good whenever he plays, it's just he never fucking plays.

We don't need another sicknote, just have a search for how much he's cost Liverpool per game.

Did you not start a thread like this a couple of weeks back and get the same responses?

We don't need players that are past their best. We have enough injury prone players.

didnt see the game, but i bet i could look good agaisnt iraq to be fair.... doesnt prove anything!!

he used to be a great player, but now i wouldnt want to put him anywhere near the team! too injury prone and losing the skill he used to have

Fair enough.......But Having watched the game live...and rewatching it on the T.V....... I still think he did just O.K,
He did not exactly take the game by the scruff of the neck, I was not on the edge of my seat thinking he is gonna take em, apart like I have felt when I have seen Ginola ....or Zola...or Baggio....or Sheringham etc... (only my opinion) perhaps other Spurs Community members have seen him play more than the once (in the flesh) and am happy to be corrected but truly great players regardless of injury are far more consistant and decisive
