Tottenham skipper Ledley King has put silverware to the top of his agenda this season.

The 26-year-old centre-back has led Spurs into the last four of the Carling Cup and the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup, with their FA Cup campaign starting on Sunday at Cardiff.

Spurs have not won a trophy since the 1999 League Cup, but King believes there is enough quality in the current squad to end the search for silverware.

"Obviously things are looking up at this club right now, we are moving in the right direction and hopefully 2007 can bring us some trophies," he said.

"Everyone wants to win things and I'm no different, I'd love to lift a trophy for Tottenham. I've never won anything in my career so far and that's high on my 'things to do' list."

And so Does Lennon Source Thespursweb
Lennon commented: "I want to win a trophy and so does everyone connected with this club,"

"When you look at the squad we've got and the way we're playing lately, we have to believe that we have a chance. This is a great club but it's been a long time since we won a trophy."

"It would be fantastic for all of us if we could do that this season, that's what we are aiming for."

Not sure if we can - europe looks the most likely to me.

    hmm

may be the reason why we're doing slighty poorly (and i use the term loosely) in the league

our boys have silverware in their eyes!

i'd take 6th or 7th if it means we win a cup, anyone of the possible 3 would do, preferably the UEFA one

    COYS!

im trying to figure out what cup i would prefer us to win......uefa or the FA........

Tricky. As a trophy I'd rather we won the UEFA, but the FA will qualify us for Europe next year, and I don't think winning the UEFA does (I could be wrong)

Ideally we would win the UEFA and qualify for Europe again via the league. That would do me very nicely thanks.
