and only when berabtov decides to put in the effort is he any good, too often he sulks and throws his arms about

and your example really isnt a fair comparison, as king was only just coming back from along time out in that game, it would be like breaking Berabtov's leg and then judging him simply on the first game back.... people who have seen King play when fit know what king can do, people who have only seen him since he has started to come back really cant judge failry as they havnt seen the best out of King

My point is not that King wasn't particularly good against Sevilla. My point was that Spurs made their best part of the season without King. And the main factor for that best part of the season was Berbatov. When King returned Spurs weren't better than when he was out. Fact.

that is because king was only just abck from a long term injury, if you expect someone who was out for that long to come back and make a team even better then you my firned need some help :duh:

In need of help are those who cannot understand a simple argument.

very true

and once you see a fit king who is playing at the top of his game, then you shall have a vailid imput into this debate, untill then you will always look at it from one side (though you will always be one sided when berbatov is mentioned)

Let's hope we are going to see King at the top of his game. But my argument has nothing to do with how good is a fit King.

i read the whole thread and still i'm not sure. all the posts about king are spot on but i cant help going with berba. for me right now he is the most important player for us. whether king plays or not, we can concede goals cos that is the nature of football with penalties, blunders, flukes and what not. but without berba we lack creativity and goals. berba is our midfield maestro as well as our attacking threat. since berba kicked into gear about the time this thread was started, robbie keane has been the best goalscorer in england. i would sum it up by saying ledley king is a 10, always has been and always will be, but right now, berbatov is an 11, and next season we're all gonna be gutted beacuse god knows who we'll replace him with, and if its bent we're truly fucked
