The best period last season began with 4:0 away against Fulham and ended with 2:2 against Sevilla. That last game was the first in which King played after 3-4 months of recovering from his injuries. When Berba is on fire Spurs normally are a very good side. When he isn't they struggle. FACT.

Amazing how quickly we forget how important King is for us. If he’d have been playing throughout the season I’m convinced we’d be challenging for the top 4.

Berbie has been fantastic and the star of this season for me, and recently has inspired us to victories in games we may not have won without him, but I still feel King is the more important player for us. He’s our captain and our leader.

I voted for King, Berbs is great but we have other quality strikers if he wasn't there. The same, as we've seen, can't be said for CB,

Ledley all the way for me! We can still score many goals without Berba (although I love him to pieces), but Ledley is much more than a defender to us. He turns defence in to attack with great passes, he's a leader, he's dedicated and is bloody fantastic!

He is the King of WHL and is more important than Berba.

Not when I've got Ledley on my team, I don't. :)

I'm suprised to see so many Spurs fans saying Berba is more important that Ledders. Ledders is Tottenham.

Discussing value doesn't matter, as the thread is about who is more IMPORTANT, not who is more talented.

Ledley King injects a confidence in to our team, the other players adore him and so do I.

Ledley!!!
King has been tremendously consistent (a word we can associate with very little at the Lane) for season after season.
Both tremendous players but when the going gets tough Ledley's impact is much more widely felt.

i am a bulgarian and voted king

but i definately do not agree with the likes of JamezTheYido that "King is so much more important than berbatov." because it just isn't true. spurs at this very moment are screw*d without any one of them. as simple as that.

King. When he plays we get better results than when he's not playing. He is so so important, and such a top class player. Injuries have prevented him from showing the rest of the fans in the Prem how good he really is.

I just smile when people say Carragher's better than him - they just have no clue!

You know more about Tottenham. Well, you know then that last two seasons King misses at least half of the games due to injuries. So would someone be so kind to explain me why a player who is crocked most of the time is more important than a player who is among the best in the Premiership?

as i spoted when i voted, Berabtov is a quality player and is one of the most gifted players in the EPL, King is also skillfull and gifted, probably not as much as berabtov but King has other qualitys which are vastly better than berbatov, his coolness on the pitch is better than berbatov as hishis leadership, something we despratly need in the team, Both are important to the squad but IMO King offers more to the team

OK, when King is fit he might be more important, I don't know, it's difficult to say. But I shall give you an example that shows things aren't so simple as King's fans think. The best period last season was between the victory against Fulham 4:0 and the draw against Sevilla 2:2. King played only in the last game.

Besides, your reply does not address my argument: when fit King is King. The problem is he isn't fit long enough to be as important as the majority suggests.

and only when berabtov decides to put in the effort is he any good, too often he sulks and throws his arms about

and your example really isnt a fair comparison, as king was only just coming back from along time out in that game, it would be like breaking Berabtov's leg and then judging him simply on the first game back.... people who have seen King play when fit know what king can do, people who have only seen him since he has started to come back really cant judge failry as they havnt seen the best out of King
