It'd be nice if KJH goes to Milan, at least then we can move on and concentrate on players who may want to play for our club.

I cannot understand the logic behind a bid for KVH if the ITK is accurate.
He would want to be first choice and the wages, to me this means we would not only have to sell Bent but probably two others .
I think it's fairly safe to say Harry intends to start with Defoe & Crouch so I think this is a non-runner.

This is a theory so not ITK but say for example Huntelaar was our main target but when Pompey got into financial shit and we were offered the chance of Crouch for as low as £5m as some people report (cash up front, taking on board pompey debt to pool, etc) then maybe Arry/Levy thought it was too good a chance to miss. Similar to bringing Chimbonda/Keane/etc back. Not neccessarily a target but when offered we took the opportunity...

There were a couple quotes and/or ITK at the time about Crouch wanting to come to Spurs but was hesitant because he wanted to get regular football. Between Crouch, Keane, Defoe, and Pav, you'd have to assume that Crouch will be Harry's first choice, so, if true, he must have thought someone else high-profile would be coming in (Huntelaar?) and he'd be fighting for a spot. Looks like we nabbed him when could get the optimum deal and also presumably we didn't want to wait for Crouch to go to Fulham or Sunderland and then get possibly none of our targets.

But if we know get KVH who would play? I see Crouch as essential and the others all could play with him but that leaves lots of unhappy unpicked players.

If they're the best they'll play if not thats nobody's fault but their own, their happiness is down to themselves.

I really don't understand the euphoria behind the possibility of Huntelaar joining Spurs. So we've sold Bent and if Huntelaar arrives presumably we will sell Pavlyuchenko. So again we have three little nippers all relying on a big lump. I think we need another big lump. No offence Peter.

I'm not questioning Huntelaars record, but I don't personally rate the player. It's a question of balance not a name.

Aren't Roma broke? I know they're getting 20 million for Aquilani but aren't they selling him because they're in severe debt?

There's a rumoured Arab takeover but itcouldn't stop this and I reckon it will be more like the Arab takeover of Pompey than Man city.
There is a piece in the ever reliable mirror:roll: that they say they are going to buy VDV,Robben and this guy but the horse looks to have bolted on this one.

Well, Huntelaar is now more than certainly off to Milan :

Adriano Galliani told Sky Sport 24: “With Real Madrid there is already an agreement on everything,”

“It is not true that there is still no fax from Madrid, the agreement has been finalized.”

“Huntelaar will arrive in Milan this evening, then we will perform his medical and he will sign the contract.”

Next.

Good...I'll be glad when the Huntelaar story goes away. He never wanted to play for us so we should just accept that and move on. He was doing to us what he did to Stuttgart and now that he's got his big club he'll be happy.
