If Solskjær hurt his knees celebrating, he sure didn't learn much from it...

What's wrong with a good old fashioned handshake, a chorus of 'well played, old man!' and a dignified return to the centre circle to await your opponents re-starting the game.

That's how we did it in my day..................

Knee slides to the nearest camera...pfft. Next you'll be telling me they use moisturiser! Ha!
It's the jeopardy of knee sliding that makes me cringe.

All sorts of things could go wrong. One of players could get sliced up sliding over bits of lawnmower, referees dentures, fragments of Wilshere or anything a hooligan chucks on.

I've got bad knees though. Maybe oversensitive.

Talking about injuries from celebrations; the pictures of the bloke who had his finger peeled off after getting his wedding ring caught on a fence after climbing up to celebrate with the fans and then jumped down again still haunts me.

I know someone who that happened to. Was climbing over a tall fence and when he jumped off onto the other side, his finger stayed with him. I wasn't there to see it thankfully but a few of my mates were

Apparently it's quite a "common" accident if you work in manual labour type jobs. My father-in-law works on building sites and he hasn't worn his ring to work for decades because he's seen too many people have accidents over the years as a result of wearing them on site.

If even attempted the knee slide I’d require gas and air for the next 20 minutes. Torn miniscus in both knees and worn cartilage on both my knee caps. I have to be careful kneeling down or one knee or both can lock :(:(

I can imagine a situation where the sliding celebrant might simply not be able to stop and just keeps sliding around until stopped by a gang of angry stewards.
