Probably the only person I heard say we will win the title. Never heard that from anyone in the English media, pundits or ex-pros

Souness said it yesterday then corrected himself and said between us and city.

Doesn’t say he’s a fan tho. Unlike Nash.

He's a Milan fan.
Supposingly grew up watching van Basten while in Italy, so one really follows the game unlike most US athletes.

I thought he's very candid, not the usual cliche stuff you'd expect.

He's like Ronaldo, comes across as a total knob but can actually be pretty decent

The guy is a perennial winner, no doubt his talk with the team on winning would have been helpful.

Can only hope Harry can deliver the same 5 league titles to us as Kobe did for the Lakers!

Nash Trained with Spurs in 2014 in Toronto

Steve played a full part in training and impressed the lads in our first session in Toronto at Toronto FC's KIA Training Centre.

After training, he spoke with Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff and Mauricio presented him with a new home shirt.

Steve's Spurs connection is a family one with his father John born in Tottenham. He used to go to the Lane with John and his grandfather and has never lost the Spurs bug.

What I loved most was how he spoke about that next hurdle of winning championships to Kane and the players.

That might be because he was a guest, we probably paid/was contractually obliged to be here and he hasn't a clue about football so will just say whatever to be nice. No you're right, it's a media conspiracy, nobody ever says anything positive about us ever, thank goodness the NBA player had the guts and brains to say what all Spurs fans wanted him to say, what a guy.

Makes you wonder, how much input did Poch have on Kobe and Maradona being there - it’s almost like having a couple of motivational speakers that have been there, done it, and knows what it takes. Telling how Kobe said they spoke about becoming a champion etc. It’s those little details that Poch thinks about, this time on the mentality side.

Also, would have been a bit of PR material for the US.
