Well he's just got that yellow against Wolves so he gets a one match suspension.

According to the commentators, he'll be able to serve the ban during Norwich Vs Spurs - a match he is due to miss anyway as we're his parent club.

I think the rules need abit of tweaking.
 yep I just heard the same.

That can't be right. Surely you can't be suspended for a game your ineligable to play in?

On-loan defender Kyle Naughton will miss Norwich City’s clash with his parent club Tottenham Hotspur at Carrow Road on Tuesday, 27 December through suspension. Naughton collected his fifth yellow card of the season in the 2-2 draw at Wolves on Tuesday night and is therefore suspended for the Canaries’ next game.

The right-back would have been ineligible for the fixture anyway as a result of not being allowed to face his parent club but the FA confirmed that as irrelevant and just coincidence. Therefore Naughton’s one match suspension will be completed once the game against Spurs is completed
nice work Kyle ;)

Have been impressed with Naughton, when he and walker were bought from Sheff Utd he had rave reviews, hopefully he will be challenging for a start next season

Thought Naughton was excellent today. Dealt with Sturridge easily, very tidy in possession. I'd be tempted to sell Corluka, and loan out Rose to a PL side, and have Naughton in the first teams quad next season

Naughton is a RB so what has that got to do with Rose?

From what I saw today, he'd be ahead of Rose in the LB stakes here. Maybe next season we should keep Naughton as back-up, and loan out Rose to a PL team.

Why is the club blocking him from playing in the FA cup?! strange

We must have a recall option

One possibility is that we wanted him to get regular first team football, and put that clause in to prevent a club taking him on loan intending only to play him in cup games.

Also might be because unlike the Premiership rules, the FA rules say a loaned player can play against their parent team, and you cannot stipulate that they wouldnt be able to play against the parent team (i.e. you have to say they either can or cant play in the cup, you cant say they can play in the cup unless they are playing their parent side).

Wouldn't have thought that was right, Jamie O'Hara was allowed to play in the FA Cup for Portsmouth but still NOT allowed to play against us in the competition when we met them in the Semi.

Rules may have changed now but I haven't heard anything about it.

Of course, forgot about O'Hara. Might be why we asked them not to play in the cup then.
