I just had two of those fixed in May. His recovery period depends entirely on whether it was a keyhole procedure (2-3 weeks) or open surgery (4-8 weeks).

No. Sometimes you can work around a hernia with rest. You don't know until you try. But usually they gradually get worse.

Like any patient, Walker will be afforded a degree of confidentiality about his medical conditions and treatment, besides the article says hes having an operation, what more do you want, a picture of the incision, number of sutures used etc?
