I'm sick of tired of all these spurs fans that for every mistake walker makes they slag him off about. Who you gonna get that's better? Kyle is an amazing player he doesn't win everything (who does) but his attaking qualities (on top of his defensive) are amazing he's a great player and deserves more credit then he receives

I think you're a few months late mate. Everyone loves Kyle now he's been performing well the last few matches.

In any case I have this debate with people often and what I always ask is: who are we going to buy that's better than Walker? Defensively he's among the best and in recent games he's showing more quality going forward. I think he's the best right back I've seen in a Tottenham shirt in my lifetime (I'm 23).

He's an effective right back. He makes defensive positioning mistakes and, most of the time, deals with them because he is extremely quick. That's OK: the defensive positioning mistakes are becoming fewer, but the pace is still all there.

As an attacking force, he's plainly one of the best right backs in the league, especially when he has Lennon as his right-sided partner, because (a) they work well together, (b) Lennon is defensively solid enough to cover for some of Walker's wayward moments and (c) they're both fast as fuck. Walker can cross, can dribble, can pass reasonably well, has a howitzer of a shot and cuts inside to good effect.

Walker gets unmerited stick because, when he screws up, he screws up royally and it's usually the result of doing something really stupid. He doesn't do it very often and he hasn't done it very much at all recently.

Physically, he's a nearly flawless footballer, but his judgment lets him down occasionally and I wonder sometimes about his decision making. Like all players, he has phases of good and bad form. He's in a good spell now.

He's also extremely durable and capable of playing every week without wearing out.

We couldn't obtain a better right back. He's an ideal player for our level: competing annually for the Champions League without being a world-dominating club.

He is a great player, he would be very difficult to replace. However he does still make mistakes and he needs to learn. Liverpool away last season for example. He is still young and he can do it if he puts his mind to it.

I think he's a very good player. Timing of the thread is weird as many are starting to acknowledge it.

I'd like to see more improvement in his crossing and just all-round improvement in his attacking play. He can reach the top but his improvements over the last 2 seasons hasn't been significant enough to get there.

He's certainly improving, but there's another thread fawning after him, couldn't this go in there?

Well I watch Corchia play quite a bit and I keep thinking to myself how I wish Walker had the skill, vision and intelligence to play like that. No doubting Walkers pace, stamina and desire to do well, but to me he's not a good defender and often doesn't show much intelligence or vision in his attacks. He has looked better in recent games and I think he benefits from Lennon who seems to have a good understanding of Walkers defensive weaknesses and helps him out, but to me he's got plenty of faults.
Of course Corchia is playing in a weaker league and you could argue that he might struggle with the pace and intensity of the PL, but he does show tremendous reading of the game, excellent skills and vision and has both decent strength and pace so I could see him adapting really well

I think top 4 RBs in the PL are (in no particular order) Zabaleta, Walker, Coleman and Johnson.

I think if people are watching plenty of Sochaux's games then they have way too much time on their hands!

Corchia who is the same age as Walker has received no full international recognition by France, has never even made a squad let alone an appearance, despite France not being overloaded with great RB's. He could also represent Italy as well, who have also shown him zero recognition.

I haven't personally seen Corchia play as I don't often watch the team who are bottom of Ligue 1 and have a incredibly bad defensive record, way worse than any other team in the league having already conceded 37 goals in just 17 games and are virtually relegated already.

But if Corchia is playing so well and is so good in a team that has only 8 points and already conceded 37 goals then Jesus the rest of that team must be truly awful and it's hard to see how France or Italy wouldn't recognise a player who is playing so well in such a bad team.

Looking at the region Sochaux are from, they do probably have a cow in goal.

LOL I was going to reply along the same lines but you beat me to it (y)

Not saying Sebastien Corchia hasn't got potential but comparing him to Walker right now is silly
