I just hope he is not being pushed to play prematurely just to satisfy Roy Hodgson. Spurs will need him fit and healthy for a good pre-season....especially with a new manager coming in.

I agree. We've missed him badly, but the last thing we want is him to play the WC and then be out for another six months. Given the injuries to AT and KW and Lennon's poor form we could well se an England squad without a single Spurs player. As bad as that may seem, we could benefit from that next season if we can get everyone fit and fired up under a new manager. With Soldado, Adebayor and Eriksen definitely missing out we could have an advantage if we bring in the right manager and get things/transfers sorted out in time for a change.
