People keep saying he is the best right back in the league, but Trippier was rightly keeping him out the side at the end of the season. Walker is clearly a good right back but let's be realistic he is not so talented that he is irreplaceable. The most annoying thing thing about selling him to City would be that we were strengthening a title rival

Actually, I think it's Poch that has made Walker this good the last season(s). I wouldn't be too surprised to see him go back to mr Brainfart if he goes somewhere else.

He won young player of the year in 2012.

Selling him to a rival is suicide in my opinion. It doesn't matter if he wants to go, or if Poch is happy to sell. We should never, ever be strengthening a rival.

Frankly it's a dereliction of duty on Poch and Levy's behalf if they sanction a sale to Man City.

Exactly. Simply refuse to sell to a rival, that's the first starting point.

Judging by your post history, you've always had it in for Walker so it's no surprise you're coming out with bollocks about him still.

Had it in for him? He was a great athlete and inconsistent defender until Pochettino got hold of him. For the last 2 years he's been fantastic. Surprised anyone would dispute that.

Maybe they know something about his fitness that they don't think City can catch in the medical.

There is Arsenal selling Van Persie to United and then there is Arsenal selling Adebayor and Nasri to City. And Walker is certainly no Van Persie.

Both those players only had a year left I think

It's not just that. He was our player of the season in 2013/14 until he got injured in Feb.

Let's not start rewriting history and trying to make out he's only good under Poch.

And if I could be arsed I'd dig up all the posts from three years ago where even many of his most ardent fans had got so sick of his lack of progress as a footballer they were advocating it was time we moved on from him. Then Poch taught him how to defend better (Walker has said as much), chucked TA next to him to hold his hand and bingo.

Let's not start rewriting history based on the SC collective, the people that voted Dawson player of the year one year, because they are rarely a reliable collective barometer of anything.

We could dig up posts from SC experts about every single player in the team, other than maybe Toby and Wanyama, where they've slated players and advocated them being dropped. Eriksen, Dele, Kane, Lamela, Son, Dembele, Lloris, Rose - all of them. Posts on SC are no indicator at all of a player's ability, most people on here (myself included) talk a load of bollocks.
