I really like Kyle, but £50m (possibly more) is insane for a player of his quality.

His pace gets him out of so many tight spots and once that starts to go, his value will plummet. I think it's bizarre that he's going to play tiki-taki when he's probably the worst player technically in our first XI.

It's mental to think that Poch has racked up nearly £100m in transfers for full backs (£30m for Shaw, £12.5m for Clyne and £50m for Walker). Imagine Rose's value today, or KWPs in a few years (fingers crossed)

Thanks for everything Kyle, one heck of a fullback and gave years of good service.

I hope we spend the huge wad of money wisely!

My biggest concern is if City win the league next season what message is it going to send to the rest of the players? Not only does leaving mean you can double your wages but you also get success? Sign me up?!!

We really need to start winning things soon. I know people glossed over our cup failure last season but players generally want 2 things, money and to win things and at the moment we are lagging behind our rivals on both counts.

We're not going to be winning anything any time soon. Our best bet by far is the LC and we treat that like a pre-season joke comp.

What formation Pochettino will prefer next season is a question too. If we're going to play 3-4-3, Trippier is not necessary the replacement for Walker. Then we don't need to look for a RB, but mainly a winger.

As a fast attacking back, Walker is great, but there are options and alternatives. But, if we're continuing with Pochettinos instant change of formation in games (which has been a success) Trippier is our option now. The combination of Rose and Walker was great! Guess I'm gonna miss Walkers speed.

Sold the best right back in the league, albeit for a good price, sign of ambition, not for me. Imho real pressure on us winning trophy in the next season else more will go. Then back to building again. Can't keep unearthing gems for peanuts.

Kyle farewell video and those City presses looks so grim..... I think Poch force him out as per ITK said about the fallout.

Hope he doesn't end up another 50M flop like Stone. Sad to see him go and strengthen a rival. We should get the RB sorted quickly as Liverpool getting Keita means Leipzig looking for replacement.

Yeah, it seems pretty clear to me. In that video he made a blanket statement to thank the staff, but no mention of Pochettino specifically.

Will miss Walker one of the most exciting players in the team. His pace and stamina so fit the role of a modern full back. I can see why he fancies working with Pep who tends to praise players strengths rather than publicly focus on what they can't do. not that Poch says much anyway in public, which I like.

Watching us play with Rose and Walker in full flight will always go down as a highlight in over fifty years of watching the team. Said it before they are the best pair of full back I have seen.

Anyway he is not Spurs any more so thanks Kyle and COYS!

Bit of a sad sale for me, first ever right back I saw in a Spurs shirt was good old Pascal Chimbonda - haven't watched too much Spurs without Walks in the team. Honestly has been a brilliant servant to Spurs and I really felt like he loved the club. Good luck to him, can't fault his effort or transformation over the years!

Exactly. This is the most pertinent aspect of the whole transfer. I really wonder whether the City scouts (if there is such a thing) have only watched highlight packages. Kyle has many strengths but you wouldn't buy him to make pretty passes.

Best right back in my Spurs fan lifetime since 1991. Personally I always thought Stephen Carr was overrated.

If I had to guess, Walker and Poch had a falling out over him not playing in that Semi and other games.

Walker probably threw his weight around a little, saying he is a senior player and he shouldn't be dropped when he is in good form and as we all know, Poch is about the team before any individual player.

I might be way off the mark but I think that's what happened. That being said, players egos are way out of control these days and Walker has a lot to thank Poch for, it's incredibly insulting to not mention him individually considering he has improved Kyle so much.
If he wanted the manager to play with his semi he shoulda joined Arsenal...:cautious:

I like Kyle, but I aint sad to see him go. If it was a choice between him and Rose, I would want Rose to stay.
£50m whatever the final fee is insane, but it represents what's wrong with football at the minute. As far as Im concerned it needs a boot in the balls for being so reckless, in the sense where does this end?

Keita is a midfielder and I'm sure Leipzig are pretty adamant he isn't going.
