Could you imagine seeing a house for sale that you really liked and then finding out Levy owned it ? Walk away....lol

Don't think even he can get £60m for Walker....I reckon he'll go to City eventually for about £45m

Honestly don't think it will happen just can't see city waiting around .

That's why we hold the cards. Walker is on a 5 year deal, he's English, they want a quick deal and they've set the precedent by coughing up 50m for Stones. We shouldn't expect a cent less than that. 60 may be pushing it but 50 is about the market rate these days....

The fact they have no recognised fullbacks plays into the selling clubs' hands as well. The further it goes into the window the more desperate Man City will get and either splash too much money or end up with players they don't really want.

It makes no sense for any club to sell to them yet.

Imo part of walker wanting to leave if that is in fact true is the trippier competition plus KWP coming up first .Not unrealistic to say in a year he could be 3rd choice RB .He might feel at moment he can just walk into city team .But pretty sure pep is gonna buy x2 RB .so if he buys the other one first it might give walker cold feet and think I may as well stay put .

Fact is also in a year we are probably gonna have to shift one of walker trippier or KWP .If we can get £50m + now for walker id probably take it .

No, £50m is not enough. Normally, it would be way too much, but we are talking about a club who paid £50m for a poor defender like Stones and £35m for an unproven goalkeeper like Ederson. I mean Stones? More like John Stoned. Seeing John Stones playing football is like watching a very drunk guy entering a dancing competition for professionals. Sure, you will have a good laugh, because it's funny as hell, but it doesn't mean it's high quality.

And as many others have said, we hold the cards. If they think it's too much, they can try to resign Sagna.

In Walker we have a player who is an established England international, has been named in the PL X1 for 2 seasons running and is widely considered to be the best RB in the country possibly even Europe on his day.

City paid £50m based on Stones potential rather than current ability. Walker is already at that level, therefore should be worth more IMO. With the Stones fee as a precident I think the fee should be closer to £75m.

Has he? Thought it was Bellerin last season?

Was talking to some mates the other day, there are so many things boosting Walker's transfer value:-

  • England international, homegrown premium
  • PL experienced - TOTS 16/17
  • Transfer between rival clubs
  • New TV money
  • Fees paid by City and the proposed Van Dijk fee
  • Daniel Levy negotiating
  • Full backs back in vogue
  • 93 Sprint Speed on FIFA 17 ;)
That stuff all adds up, probably about £20m before adjusting for all of those...

Hopefully goes abroad then, I could accept that.

This would be the best outcome if he left, but I'd think its more likely to be another PL club (surely overpriced and no homegrown value), which suggests Chelsea or Utd.

The latter would be interesting as Utd fans were up in arms that he beat Valencia to RB in the team of the year. Surely Levy wouldn't even deal with the former.

Citeh not the only interested party. This is where Levy comes into his own
Don't mess with Levy :borg:

I am not asking you personally for a reply as to who by next point btw.

Who do people think it would be? Bayern, United, Juventus? I only say Juve if they have trouble with Alves if papers are right (which i understand is 99% BS)

The Ederson signing is what pushes the price for me. A goalkeeper from a lower league gets 35! There is no way Walker is worth just 5-10 more.

Will be funny watching Walker back at his past level of brainless flaws and errors, knowing that they might have paid 60M for it. Deal of the century.
