if I had to pick one player from our first XI to be sold it would be Walker don't want to see him go but would not be crushed if he did

would rather he not go to a top 4 rival tho

If there is one thing that warms this old man's heart it's when the likes of Man City, The Woolwich, Man Utd and Chelsea are described as "top four rivals" to my beloved Spurs. To now have Tottenham regularly included, discussed and respected when media and pundits talk about title contenders is music to my ears. For many years we have endured mid table mediocrity but at long last we are genuine challengers for major trophies. Long, long may it continue.

Still a Spurs player despite it supposedly being a done deal to Man City some weeks ago. Why is that I wonder ?

We won't be up there for long if we start flogging players to our rivals.

Just to mention to Grey Foxes ITK ,also doing the rounds on twitter and on facebook that Kyle Walker has said he is happy and loves it at spurs.
He is on holiday where some Tottenham fans are. Apparently he laughed when asked this question as he finds it amusing. I can't get it in here as my phone is being a dick

Good news if Walker stays and I wonder if the links to Pereira weren't actually as a Walker replacement but more a Sissoko replacement. Need to remember Pereira is similar to Dier in that he plays multiple positions including right wing, right back and wing back. He'd add versatility and quality to our squad and should say Walker be injured/suspended then he'd be an ideal replacement in the games Trippier isn't suited to.

Beyond me why people take a comment made to a random fan as factual. OF COURSE Walker or any other player is going to spill the beans on a beach in Spain to some stranger holding a mobile phone to his face. Also: If we are going to hold him to his words; huge difference between "I don't want to leave" and "I'm staying".

The "vacation ITK" jives with Grey Fox's latest and what has been reported in the media, namely that Walker is content to stay and won't push for the move.

That doesn't mean he'll necessarily stay. He was obviously unsettled in the run in, whether it was due to being dropped for the cup semi/NLD or by having his head turned we can't know, but either way it will not have gone down well with Poch.

If Poch thinks he can replace him with someone he rates just as highly at a fraction of the fee we'd be able to extort out of City, he could easily still go.

According to Peterborough chairman on Twitter when talking about McGee, he says Spurs won't discuss any deals until after the pre season tour. If true any outgoings will be after this which I believe is 29 July.

Possibly big news around the corner here. Dani Alves is widely reported to join City, and Higuain even posted a goodbye video, before deleting it.

Goal says they still want Walker, though, but surely this must increase the chances of Walker staving at Spurs. Alves aint leaving to be second choice, and neither are Walker. Sure, they need two right backs, but Alves and Walker? Seems over the top.

I can't see them signing both Alves and Walker.

Having said this there would certainly be no point in Pereira joining if Walker stayed, yet it still seems like we are pursuing him based on what JJ has tweeted. That leads me to believe that we think Kyle might go.

Probably to give time for Poch to asses. At least the players who arent pushing for a move. I could see Sissoko and Wimmer leaving before that though
