29/8 Real Madrid vs Deportivo [Sky Sports 2 19:00]
29/8 Zaragoza vs Tenerife [Sky Sports 2 21:00]
30/8 Athletic Bilbao vs Espanyol
30/8 Malaga vs Atletico Madrid
30/8 Mallorca vs Xerez
30/8 Osasuna vs Villarreal
30/8 Racing Santander vs Getafe
30/8 Valencia vs Sevilla [Sky Sports 2 18:00]
30/8 Almeria vs Valladolid
31/8 Barcelona vs Sporting Gijon [Sky Sports Red Button 21:00]

Going to be a massive season in La Liga. Barca still very much the team to beat with no major changes from the side that won everything on offer last season other than Ibra in for Eto'o. Big spending Real will be under a lot of pressure to hit the ground running after spending over £200 million on new players including Ronaldo for £80mill and Kaka for £56mill. Other teams challenging for the CL places and Europa places will be Valencia, At.Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla. Vie Que Barca!

Cheers for that link SS57, Sid Lowe knows La Liga inside out. Sheds light on just how much pressure is on Real this season. I forgot about Manucho saying he was going to score 30-40 goals for Valladolid, i'm gonna stick my neck out and say that he won't

Yea that was a good read, I would really love Madrid to win nothing this season. I'm a bit pissed off that Kaka went there as he's one of my favourite players but I really dislike the club.

Come on the Barca. But they really need to get a couple of players in.

Real Madrid are going to win the title. I surprised Barca are considered favourites. There was only a 9 point difference last season and since then Madrid have strengthend hugely. On top of that they'll have RVN and Diarra back.

barcelona are still the favourites because the team has basicly remained the same.

real madrid have a new coach and an entirely new core of players. the first galacticos failed in the end because their bench wasn't deep enough and this might be the case again.

barca have strenghtened their defense considerably and although many feel zlatan is overrated, i feel he's quite the opposite.

after leaving ajax he has won the scudetto every year, 5 times in a row. he has won a championship 6 times in a row if you include his time with ajax, and people dare say he's a born loser?

saying this , isnt it about time some tycoon came in and bought deportivo la coruña?

they have to sell players year after year, getting a bit silly now.. beautiful place, galicia.

9 points because guardiola took the piss the last 3 games when it was wrapped up. if he had put out proper teams it would have been 17 points.

do me a favour. what formation is pellegrini going to use to accomdate both kaka and ronaldo????

barca will win it again by a large margin. xavi and iniesta there isnt a better pairing in the world. arbeloa and albiol are crap hardly quality defenders. madrid will score goals and they will leak goal galore and lose away from home a lot.

4-2-3-1 ...

Cassilas

Arbeloa Ramos Albiol Marcelo

Alonso--Diarra

Ronaldo--Kaka--Raul

Benzema

Besides the defence, which I dont rate too highly, the balance in the midfield is superb with Alonso and Diarra.

Their ball retention should be top notch, as should their protection of the back 4. Providing they work their socks off, they will be a huge threat to Barca, gelled or not.

Hala madrid!

they wont let him leave raul out and it doesnt beat this

valdes

alves cyrrinsky pique puyol

xavi yaya toure iniesta

messi ibra henry

better at the back. now puyol can play lb there is no liabilties at the back. best midield tandem in the world. and messi the worlds best player with 2 other top notch forwards.

it wont even be a contest again. madrid will take too long to gel. pellegrini attacks far too much. diarra is the only one who willtrack back and back 4 is weak

visca el barca i visca catalunya. campion d europa en el bernabeu....

I cant see Real Madrid working as well as Barca did last season without the ball. If they gel well enough then they could be just as effective in attack. But Barca won the rtreble because they worked so hard to press teams all over the pitch. Will the likes of Kaka, Benzema or Ronaldo do that? Unlikely. It will be close, but i'm confident Barca will do it again. I am a bit concerned with the lack of signings though. Especially when Toure goes off to the ACN. But then again, with Chygrynskiy coming in they could play Marquez in defensive midfield.

I wouldn't write Sevilla off for a title push though. I think Zokora will be a good signing for them. And Negredo will give them that extra something in attack.

1. Barca
2. R.Madrid
3. Sevilla
4. A.Madrid
5. Valencia

Busquets is more than adequate to fill in for Toure yaya
