Real Madrid taking the piss with Barcelona at the moment in the cup. Barca look like they need a lot of quality freshness to the team.

Very rare for Barca to be dominated like this. Madrid look incredible. Modric absolutely pulling the strings.

Real are at an absolute peak, best I've seen them for years and they don't even have Ronaldo, Bale or Isco playing, several levels above Barca and Asensio is such a talent!

Barca are all over the place!

Sid Lowe says they declined to sign Inigo Martinez from Sociedad because it would mean moving Mascherano out of the team. He finds it a bizarre decision. They need something new though. Awful first half.

Barca in absolute decline, I think we're better than them. Ok maybe better is a stretch but I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them, so bad. And it's gonna get much worse before it gets better when Paulinho starts playing for them.

On the other hand, Modric is a beast. I just love watching him play and own the midfield with minimum fuss.

Barca have problems at so many levels, the whole club has been ripped apart and the fans aren't happy.

Real though are so strong currently. Settled side/squad, great depth, so much individual quality.

I got a few WTF's in the Neymar thread when I said PSG are on the way to being a better team than Barca, but I think they won't be far off by the end of this year at this rate.

I still can't believe they actually signed Paulinho out of all the players they could attract. And they wonder why they've gone so shit.

Just watching Madrid Vs Valencia. Asensio is absolutely lethal, what a player. Bale, Modric and Isco all playing too.

I honestly think as good as he is Modric is very under rated in general. Really should be spoken about in any conversation about great players.

Real Madrid currently 2-1 down, setting up a good finishing to the match here. 13 minutes of normal time left.

Could be argued that Valencia is decent value for it as well. RM have been wasteful but with Benzema leading the line that will and has always been so. Zaza (who is not remotely as bad as he looked playing for the shitty Whammers) has spurned a few as well. Valencia are decent this year under Marcelino. I watched their game last week and they were good as well.

Bale's been very disappointing. Benzema has missed 3 sitters and now they're losing.

Asensio with a stunning free kick now

Looked a bit poor from the keeper there, caught flat footed and seemed too easy a goal for whoever was to just place it on that side.

Benzema jesus, that's awful. Even worse as some of you guys said he'd been wasteful previously.

Benzema is shockingly bad. In that team he should be getting 50 goals a season. He's missed 5 easy chances tonight

Benzema has missed another absolute sitter. He is less clinical than Cavani. Less clinical than Kane in august. Shit, less clinical than my mom.
