Finally Benzema gets one on target and it takes a great save to deny him. Fantastic end to this game

Fucking Zaza, what a clown, wasn't he the chump at West Ham that played against us ?
He really is not as bad as that impression has left you. He is light years better than Janssen; decent technical ability, pace, holdup play and a decent shot on him. Can put on the dramatics however. If we had not seen him in that horrible Wham team, nor seen his horrible penalty for Italy we would be happy to have him backing up Kane. We were linked in Jan 2016 for 12M Euros when we were stuck with only Harry. Would have been a good move for us. Instead we paid almost double for Janssen 7 months later.

I know I'm in a small minority here, but I see more logic in Janssen than I do a player like Zaza. I think he fits the type of team we are better than some "better" strikers might (Batshuayi for example) we need a fulcrum type, someone who'll graft and show and pull CB's about. A player we have been linked with recently who I also think would be a decent fit for how we play, but might not please many because he's not seen as a "goal machine" is Origi.

I can see that. Kinda in the way the Danny "Can't finish a sandwich" Welbeck would have been good for us. And Zaza has similar qualities. He works damn hard for this Valencia team. I call goals 'shiny objects' as they draw the attention of the easily impressed. I'd rather see the work for the team. Ironically, as much as I have killed Benzema in this thread I really like him and believe he is the perfect striker for them with his movement and sacrificial runs. If he were a 'selfish' striker it would not have worked with that primping portuguese prick. So glad arsenal never got him.

I have seen nothing of Zaza, except his comical West Ham debacle, so am scarred by that. Agree with the rest though.

Oh I wholeheartedly agree that Benzema is a good striker, he just had an absolute shocker last night - like, really poor.

Zaza on the other hand, I agree goals aren't everything however he gave the ball away a lot last night and made some really poor decisions too. I think his time at West Ham has damaged him.

That was a lovely ball by Gaya for Valencia's first goal, also nice to Kondogbia back playing and slotted his chance away nicely.

Madrid losing at home to Levante.

We'll piss all over them in the CL...

Gaya is a good player but probably would struggle in the Prem being all tiny and stuff.

Pau is on display vs Barca right now.

Happy to see Bale scoring yesterday, was a great goal. Was nice seeing that Madrid team yesterday with a few more youngsters.
