He wouldn't get back in the current side even if he was fit. In my honest opinion i wouldn't miss him if he was to be sold, loaned out or ended up being a hod carrier for a brickie working on the new stadium.

Lol, Lamela was one of Poch's first picked before his injury. Only way he's not first team is if he's pissed Poch off.

I didn't read all the article but it is risk on both sides if he is entering the last year of his contract.

He never met my expectations but he certainly improved and under Poch because a great squad member and was consistently a top first team performer

I think over all he's been slightly disappointing but I like his effort levels and no longer consider him a flop

I hope he goes on to have a good career whether that be with us or not and if he is sold I hope we are able to replace him with someone who will strengthen the first team rather than another Sissoko/Janssen level signing

One only has to look at Sandro and Palacious to know that Levy tends to sell players who are not fit. As such, even though he probably has lots to contribute, I fear his days at Spurs are over, unless our medical team can determine he could overcome his problems.

We could definitely do with him back at the moment especially with Kane out. A lot more is required of Eriksen and Alli so he could take the pressure off them. Pity he's not fit but want to see him starting for us as soon as possible.

You're entitled to your opinion on whether he'd get in the team - but why the 'hate'?

Same q to @TottenhamMattSpur

I can't see any 'hate' in that post.
He doesn't rate him and as we're in 2nd place without him I can't see how anyone can say we'll miss him.
His signing at 30m with the injuries and awful start has been a fkin disaster IMO.
If, and its a big if, he does come back and carrys on where he left off then great. Can't see that happening myself but I'm not going to be going into next season saying oh shit we've sold Lamela, now what are we going to do?
I'll probably be saying oh ffs why in Gods name have we bought Zaha lol.

Very good sum up. He hasn't been what we expected and he changes his whole style of game to become a worker. I do fear we are going to lose a lot of money on him though, and can see him leaving for free at end of his contract
