You could've cut and paste this comment for the past 3 seasons we've had him. I'd say ship him out and get in Ross Barkley
I would suggest you start paying attention to what he actually does on the field. He was super important and will hopefully come back and pick up where he left off.

His a great guy and givea 110% but his constantly getting injured missing chunks of a season at a time. We can't have that anymore, we seemed to do just fine without him and went on to our highest finish ever? I don't hate him I'm saying his not consistent and his had more than enough time to settle. Take Son as an example of what Lamela should of been. I rest my case.

You have a point but we do need him still. It's a long season and he'll have a role to play if he can get himself fit. Remember he's still maturing and won't peak for a number of years.

Turned out to be a really long serious injury, just hope he comes back right. Same for Rose

I agree with the bit about needing him around for the amount of games we have next season. Just that we can't rely on him being available all season. In terms of him peaking he seems to get inexplicably injured just when you think his about to show us what we been waiting for. I'm not holding my breath to see the amazing breakthrough season we all been waiting for. At this point I'd start looking at other options. If there are youth players stepping up Lamela is skating on this ice.

Who will be dropped so that he can "pick up where he left off".

He didn't feature in our most successful ever PL season, so we would all like to know who gets benched. Twenty odd goal Dele?, Eriksen, or twenty odd goal Son?

He's never been super important, and certainly is not now.

There is no such thing as a spot for life. Son fought for his place having started on the bench. Im not saying lamela walks into the team. But if you can't see what he brought to the team then any discussion is pretty much futile.

He was instrumental in our pressing style the season before last and made a huge contribution. Would be great to see him at 10 once in a while as well. Hope he makes it back to full fitness and is ready for pre season.

Didn't miss him much though did we.
This one of the great imponderables of life.
Would we have done better with him?
Nobody can say for certain.
My opinion is that he would have given us options which we didn't have.

See the poem 'The road not take' by Robert Frost.
We cannot go down two roads at once
and will not know what would have happened
if we had made a different choice.

Same with Lamela.
Circumstances decreed that he would not be available.
We only know what happened in this case.

After having a operation on each hip hopefully his injury issues are behind him. I believe we could have done with him this past season, who knows maybe some of those draws that cost us the title may have been wins.

This season highlighted we need a bit more squad depth and if Lamela had been fit we may have had that bit extra at times when we needed it.

A little concerning, what kind of player is he going to be now?
Seems like a very serious injury, he may never be the same again.

With his positive attitude, I hope he's truly turned a corner fitness wise and is driven to want to prove to everyone, that he can be an even better player than he has been in the past.
C'mon Lamela ! ... I believe in you bro. :)
