He's had a tough time. Homesickness to start off with, long term injury, his brother's terrible accident and constant speculation about whether he was tough enough or good enough or mentally fit. Well, he's proved that he is. I know footballers have a pretty cushy life but Lamela has dealt with some proper shit in the past few years. So glad to see him back and ready to push on.

On Talk Sport this morning they introduced last nights result by saying 'Lamela has broken his scoring drought, .......... hasnt scored since 2016'. WTF? Hes not played for over a year, and has been bit part introduced recently!

I sometimes don't know if they are genuinely sensationalist or just thick.

He's a crowd pleasing entertainer but efficient with it. Even with the high standards we set last season we missed him.
