Tottenham are planning a bid for Arsenal midfielder Lassana Diarra - less than six months after he quit Chelsea (Guardian December 20).

Spurs sign player called Lasagne - oh the irony. Personally I wonder why we'd go for a player who couldn't get into the first team of two top four clubs - but that's just me.

Whenever I've seen him play (which to be fair has been rarely) he's looked pretty good. He's exactly the position we need so as long as he hasn't gone stale in his non-career at the scum I'd be happy to sign him.

I'm suddenly really hungry.

Imo he's the type of player we need...ball-winning, tough DM.

He's young, and was bought to Arsenal to replace Gilberto...however, Flamini stepped up and managed to replace him instead...the only reason I see for him not getting into their team.

Yup that's him. Chelsea only let him go because they had Essien, Ballack and Mikel. In my opinion Arsenal would be daft to let him go but if that's their decision then we should take advantage.

he would be a good signing but Arsenal won't be selling to us... the big 4 don't sell to people who may be challenging them sooner rather then later

he was great against us last season. Young, hard-working, good passing ability... Get him.

Being as he was a Chelski player and then signed for L'Arse in the summer, can he have a third club within a year or is that not against FIFA rules?

Lasagna Diarrhea could be the midfield enforcer we seem to be lacking. Also, he can cover adequately for Chimbonda.

On a side note, having 4 French players (Kaboul, Steed, Chimbo and Diarra) in our starting line up will get us more live coverage on French Canal +

Can't get in the Chelsea team, can;t get in the Arsenal team. No thanks.

Oh, and he's got a proper shiny head, it must affect the concentration of the others and attract seagulls.

Face it, both teams have a wealth in that position, something we do not have, and both teams wanted to keep him but knew he wanted to play...he was just too young for them at the time. IF we buy him I'm sure he'll turn into a great player.

i dont think arse will sell diarra this window, they might need him, he is used by them at present even if its infrequently, think they will want to keep him as cover for eboue absence during the ANC, if he moves i expect it to be in the summer when hopefully we will have better options.

Diarra would be a good signing at a good price. A shame that Arsenal got his signature - and also what a bargain he was.......
