So here it is. Legions of Gers vs. a few Russians (a Ukrainian and an Argentine too). Sky is saying that the Gers are the underdog, but I'm not so sure. I personally thought they would have a harder time with La Viola, but they handled them well--even if it was a bit of a "negative" win (in that they basically waited for the opposition to fuck up, but in all fairness didn't fuck up themselves ). However, I think that the Gers will have to score in this game (bringing their tourney tally to an impressive 6 goals :razz to win. Zenit have much more pace than Fiorentina, and can counter-attack like fucking lightning. Plus they have a better defense, which will complicate things for Gers. But I still think they can win if they can score--and FFS, please, not another 210 mins of scoreless football!! Please, I'm begging you!!! ray:

That being said the only way I can see Rangers winning is penalties after a boring and sleep inducing 120 minutes of what could be barely described as football :-|

Rangers had the best chance of the half, when Darcheville cut the ball back. It's all very well quoting statistics. They are meaningless when you consider thatZnit's shots have been from 25-30 yards and only one has even looked dangerous. Anyone can shoot from range.

and their fans are even more deluded than the Geordies

they've got a banner - the world's most successful club - hilarious

we've won three times more European trophies than them and we're not even England's most successful club
