Just on my way back from Chelsea game.

The man two rows behind me, every time Spurs lost the ball, said something like this:

“Time to rest for me now boys! Now you need to show me! Let’s not let them back into it. Now you need to show me. Foyth - don’t do that, be better! Now you need to show me son!”

Like Spurs were the Sunday league pub team that he managed.

It was the “for me” bit that made me laugh.

And I was able to laugh because we were hammering Chelsea; probably wouldn’t have found it funny if not.

Anyway, thought I’d open the forum up to others’ experiences of right plonkers at the game.

Used to have a little ginger guy near me always farting (when he was awake)

Looked like Rod Hull if he had a shrinking curse placed on him.

Apart from that, there's always that guy that turned up just after 3pm and came up the steps holding his arms out like he was a celeb.

At the almost infamous Wycombe cup game two seasons ago I had a grumpy old gent next to me for about 20 minutes. Literally. He showed up about 15 mins in, fecked off 10 mins before half time, then never returned for the second half.

The 20 mins he sat there were possibly the worst I've ever seen us play in the flesh, but even bloody so...

Always make me laugh fans like that, used to have quite a few sat near me at the old ground.
Actually believing that our players need tactical advice from Keith the fucking forklift driver from Chingford.
Staggering when you think about it.

He was only saying what other fans are thinking

I was still nervous even though we where 3-1 up going into stoppage time.

American family sat behind me....husband, wife who wasn't interested and two kids who were pretty clueless.

The were supporting Chelsea in the home end.

Glad they had a good time....???

Last season I had a right arse sitting next to me. Closet gooner. Always taking delight in anything Spurs did wrong. Did my fucking nut in and we almost came to blows. But that's family hey. Last time I take my dad to a game.

Keep saying it. Spurs fans are nobs. But to be fair, most people are. Generally I only like me, some of my family and about 5 people I’ve been drinking with since school. The rest of the world are nobs.

Nobs.

Took the words right out of my mouth. The only reason I tollerate all the nobs on here is to vent in the "grinds my gears" thread cos I can't afford a therapist.

And yes, I'm a complete nob and a spurs fan

Father and son at the Juve game last year. Little lad was loving it, screaming obscenities at the ref over every fractional decision. Great to see.

Then Lamela was subbed on and turned out he wasn’t a fan.

Then we fell out.

I had one few rows back against barca. Shouted every cliche going. Did no harm but fuck me it was annoying.

Does anyone sit near SK Son fans? Love that whenever he does something even remotely good it cuts to a shot of the crowd where there'll either be a nervous looking young lady with a cute "Son" sign or a pair of guys who are losing their minds at how amazing he is. During the match today, just before he scored, they showed a lass with three gold balloons spelling out "SON" - it's so fucking cute.

Love the enthusiasm, he is clearly a very popular chap back home, says a lot about the man.
