Tottenham are now looking up instead of down and will attack at home which will mean they create chances but leave themselves open at the back.

The changes Alan Shearer made with 25 minutes to go in the match against Stoke last week made a big difference and I feel Newcastle may have turned a corner.

    Verdict: 1-1

we have to win if we want to get into the europa league.

    3-1

Has he seen our home defensive record?!

For 'Lawro', everything is just based on a few minutes of play in the previous game (unless you're Man U, Chelsea, Le Arse and Scouser scum, in which case you are going to WIN EVERY GAME!!). Fact is that Newcastle for the majority of the game against Stoke was p*ssed on - should have been out of sight by HT. Fact is at home we are extremely impressive and we have been playing well in the last few games.

    Reckon its 2-0 to us.

Shame its on SKY: gives Andy 'dickhead' Gray another chance to slate us regardless of how well we play.

You never know. You often see strange away results at the end of the season where relegation teams are involved. Don't want anyone to get complacent.

    Please don't!

I feel uneasy that they might stick 4 past us again having only 2 shots in the game and we'll have 26 shots, hit every available piece of post and bar and Harper will have his career defining game.

    O god.

Dont worry guys, they are all over the place atm and played shit against Stoke, if Pulis hadnt taken Beatie off Stoke would have beaten them.

Martins is wild and out of form, Butt will try his heart out and we could easily get sent off.

2-0 to the mighty spurs, toon to go down and get dumped by the 'masiah' as he runs back to the bbc where he wont have to comment on them on motd.

I hope you are right but knowing Mighty Spurs and the players as we do, nothing is ever taken for granted by us Spurs fans.

Every week I want to kick Lawro in the face ... I dont know why I just do.. right in his big hooter

Newcastle are a real oddity against us... i don't know what it is but whenver I watch this fixture we seem to let them play way too much and they always pull something out of the hat (Carling Cup excluded).

I like Shearer and I hope he does well as a manager, but hopefully his first lesson will be on how to cope with relegation, as for whatever reason, Newcastle have really ticked me off this season and I would not be sad to see them go down.

As long as we play our strongest side with some level of passion, we will give them a helping boot into the Championship.

Flaunting with relegation is what you get for letting a bunch of Cockney wide boys run your club .

And Newcastle United are no better .

Of course Lawro isn't going to predict a loss for his Beeb mate.

We should trounce them. We're the leagues form team and they're a joke. However, Spurs v Newcastle has all too often been a humbling experience. If we play as we can then they don't stand a chance, but if our players have a sunday stroll now that Harry has said we're safe, I fear the worst.

Last few seasons we seem to play them off the pack have 26 shots to there 2 and loose 2-3 or play better than them away and get spanked i hate Newcastle they are terrible and should go down, but i can see them getting a ressult this weekend as they are our boggie team!

Please can we beat them 5 nill we have not thrashed a team with 5 goals for a while we always used to have a couple results where the away team went home tail between there legs with a 5 goal thumpings :)

I remember a few of those too .

Always seemed to be when Kanoute and Simon Davies , when he was fit , stretched the opposition .
  16. hughy
Newcastle have turned a corner because they scored one goal against Stoke? LMFAO!
  17. Boaman
If w win this would be an incredible run of form, as good as anything during the glory years under Jol and 2 wins after the Blackburn disappointment would make that seem a long time ago.

We have to beat Newcastle this time, please
  18. PartyBoy
Dont forget the cheese sauce dude
  19. GLUESODA
    Awesome

I love it when he doesnt predict us to win, cause we always land up winning

    3-0 Spurs
