Ah, another Croatian I see. Ever since we had Krancjar, Modric, Corluka and Pletikosa we have been linked with countless Croation 'wonderkids' and 'talents'. Once again this is another example of terrible journalism.

Would love to get @Dinpomp's opinion on him.

Also, take this with a massive grain of salt, but I remember us being linked with an unnamed 20 year old croatian a couple years ago by ITK. There was one or two people that thought it was him. If its true, he's been on our radar for a while.

I remember him scoring a stunner against OL last season. He always seems to be linked to the top leagues too. Looks to be a solid striker.

Chelsea were scouting him regularly while he was at Dinamo Zagreb but he went through a dip in form ( think he fell out with the owner) & they didn't move for him at the time. He broke all sorts of scoring records in Croatian youth lgs for Dinamo & last season & a half seems to have finally hit the same kind of performances as his breakthrough season. I'm not 100% sure but I Think we were linked with him yrs ago

The inform Croatian striker, and perhaps of all of Europe, at the moment. In comparison with past Croatian strikers, there are some similarities with both Suker and Eduardo. He doesn't have Suker's left foot (Kramaric is right footed), but he's got some of his craft. Some similar pull-backs and intelligent finishes. He doesn't beat you with speed, but he's very good at getting defenders to buy into his fake shot/crosses. Turns defenders inside out. Also has a knack at getting into good goal scoring positions. He's got Eduardo's coolness in front of goal and is on pace to smash his Croatian goal scoring record for a season. Others have compared him to Inzaghi. But he's not just a poacher, but a player who can play a little deeper (as a second striker) and gets involved in the build-up. In a recent qualifier vs. Azerbaijan he started a goal by winning the ball back at half. That was one aspect of his game that was questioned previously. He's growing into a pretty complete forward.

He was a big talent coming through Dinamo Zagreb's youth system. Broke their youth scoring records, scoring a ridiculous amount of goals. Made his debut as a teenager, but despite his promise and decent goal scoring record, he was often made an understudy to older, yet less talented strikers. Never got a full run. He was looked at by some as a "bust." At least as a player who would never fulfill the tremendous potential he seemed to possess. A move to NK Rijeka changed everything. It took a little time to settle in, but he's been every bit as good as previously advertised. His value has skyrocketed. Difficult to pinpoint his price as of today, but most recent reports have him in the 10m+ euros range.

I'm disappointed he wasn't given more minutes vs. Italy this weekend. I think his form deserved it and he could have caused them some problems. But his time is coming. He's a player who almost "guarantees" goals. One of those prolific strikers/finishers. Just needs to fit into the right situation.

Two nice recent goals:

vs. Feyenoord in the Europa League (with his left)

vs. Lokomotiva in Croatia

Here's an article on him from earlier this month suggesting Borussia Dortmund (who have been rumoured with interest) should take a chance on him:

As far as the validity of the report? Who knows. His father (he doesn't have a manager) did confirm yesterday that there is interest from Italy (Milan and Inter have both been heavily linked) as well as from Germany and England. So it could be true, but probably more coincidence/guesswork than the Star having an exclusive. The belief is that it will be almost impossible for Rijeka to hold on to him past this winter transfer window.

Thanks for the info. Sounds a talent but I tend to feel strikers who lack a burst of pace aren't especially suited to the no. 9 role. Makes it far too easy for the opposition to push up and squeeze the game without fear of anyone stretching them and running in behind.

"Croatian has interest from England" will automatically get translated into "Spurs have interest in...." Just the way it is. Doesn't mean it's not true, just that Spurs will be reported as interested even if that's not the case.

Didn't want to open a thread about it, and I've mentioned him the past, but there have been some "hearsay" rumours that Spurs are also showing an increasing interest in Dinamo's very highly rated Ante Coric (17-years-old, recently played the first match vs. England's U21, was injured for the second). It's no news that Spurs are interested (they have been scouting him, as well as MANY other clubs), but there has been some "inside info" that Dinamo/Mamic may be looking to cash in sooner rather than later. And Spurs were mentioned as the club who have been the most forthright in their pursuit. I can't vouch for the info but it is said to have come from a source that typically doesn't share BS. I don't want to bring up the past "what if" but he's an "Alen Halilovic" type of exciting talent. (Still can't believe how close Spurs were to getting both Halilovic and Jedvaj. Jedvaj looks unreal for an 18-year-old defender).

By the way, this is a better Kramaric video:

You can see that he's quite adept at scoring with his weaker (left) foot as well. Unfortunately, the video dates back to August, so is missing quite a few goals that he has scored so far this season. But you get the gist of it.

Sounds like a little bit of Berba in his play - cool finishing, not going to beat you for pace, can beat you with a trick and can come deeper and get involved in build up...

He is quicker than any of our current strikers, he's not bale quick but he's no slouch.. it's more to do with the timing of his runs
