So now he's going to Leicester but there's a guaranteed agreement that at some point he will sign for Chelsea. It's like they are both buying him. Strange.

It is odd.....i guess it works as a right of first refusal to CFC?

It's funny how reliable reporters can get you real info, while others just throw shit on the wall and hope it sticks. This guy (who is the most ITK reporter as far as NK Rijeka goes) was right all along. His updates have been the most informative and accurate. The link above was his latest (from 2 hours ago).

Kramaric currently having his medical at Leicester (at least was 2 hours ago). Rijeka supposed to get about 10m euros.

That is 2/3 of the new stadium paid. Glad that finally a second club next to Dinamo shows up that can negotiate deals and doesnt let their players go for 1-2 millions (Hajduk).

I think that the transfer is a smarter choice for Kramaric than a Chelsea move, especially if the reports about a clause in case of relegation is true. I was always hoping that Wolfsburg were in for him, they have the money and really need someone upfront and always had good experience with players from former yugoslavia.

That's a good point, and yes Wolfsburg do need help up top and do have a successful track record with Balkan region players. With them likely capable of offering CL next year, I'm surprised they wouldn't have deemed him a worthwhile target, especially as he likely could have obtained favorable playing time even as of this term.

Reports that it is done (had his medical). The bid from Chelsea was also supposedly only €3m + bonuses.

Exactly my thoughts, but I guess the Club and Manager put much more trust in Bas Dost than the fans. Or they feel secure in getting that CL spot even without a new striker and hope to attract a bigger name in Summer with guaranteed CL.

I'm looking forward to Kramaric in the PL, I always had high hopes for him and hope he doesnt dissapoint. Him and Ulloa could form a formidable partnership.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head there.

They do like Belgians, and with that CL money on top of VW's they could undoubtedly afford grabbing Benteke away from Villa.

It seems we have ended our interest in him as of a few weeks ago. Last I heard was Mitchell went to Spain to watch him and he didn't have a great game. I think if we really wanted him we could probably get him but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Hope we have an alternative lined up !

Have you heard anything about Leicester having an agreement with Chelsea that ensures that at some point, he will move to Chelsea, or will have the option to do so?

That kind of shit should be outlawed, but knowing Chelsea it's basically expected of them.

Conflicting reports on this. Some sources claim that the Kramaric family wanted a relegation clause set in place. Some suggested it was even particularly tied to Chelsea. Or at least that Chelsea would get some sort of first right of refusal.

However, while the most reliable source did say that the reason the deal didn't go through yesterday was that they wanted an exit clause (in case of relegation), he didn't mention Chelsea at all. In fact, that very reliable source kept stressing that Chelsea were out of the picture for days now (despite other numerous media outlets claiming a deal with Chelsea was reached, up until yesterday or the day before). He claims that the Kramaric's weren't happy with Chelsea's offer and that they completely fell out of the running. They couldn't give him assurances as to where he'd be playing next season (or something along those lines).

If he does well between now and the end of the season but Leicester still go down then he'll be a relatively easily attainable replacement for Adebayor.

Di Marzio sticking to his guns, and I wouldn't bet against him:

It's finally official, Andrej Kramaric has signed for Leicester City. His former club Rijeka released the following statement on Twitter: "Thank you for all your goals, good luck."

After having signed a contract with the Premier League outfit, he's now officially Esteban Cambiasso's teammate. The deal has been made in synergy with Chelsea but for now Kramaric is a Leicester City player.

Be interesting to see if he can play up top on his own (in the Prem), if not thats a bullet dodged even though his finishing looks class.

Thinking about it more though, if Mourinho likes him he probably can.

From SSN:

Leicester have reached agreement with Croatian sideRijeka and agreed personal terms with Andrej Kramaric, but according to Sky sources there is some concern he may not meet the necessary criteria to secure a work permit.

The work permit hearing is scheduled for next week, so Kramaric will not be available to face Aston Villa this weekend
