Still can't understand how that collection of shitbags won the title. Kante or not. It just feels like some sort of shitty Twilight Zone episode.

I don't buy into the whole 'media bias against Spurs' conspiracy theories, but it's clear when certain individuals have a problem with us and Tyler is undoubtedly one of them. He's always extremely unenthusiastic about us when we're doing well and seems ever so slightly disappointed when we score. Shame as he is a very talented commentator.
They spent a lot of time before Leicester scored hoping that they did.

Brilliant game last night, total domination, and can not say we were in top gear. Hopefully we can do a good job in a transfer market for next season.

What a game, team, result !
Fantastic.
Did we miss Walker or Rose bombing down the wings ?
It would be good to see them back in tandem again, cannot see it ... shame .
Davis seems to have got to grips with things, Sissoko...err !

I want Kane to smash these pricks apart. He needs that Golden Boot!

We drew a lot of early games and narrowly beat teams like boro and Sunderland. We stayed unbeaten, but we weren't in title winning form. To win the league we'd have to start and finish well.

You're right of course as we've had our best season since that era, but with a faster start we could have won it. Still it's been a great year.

October and November were the problem. Not the start.

After 7 games we were 2nd, 1 point behind City and 4 ahead of Chelscum. There was then an international break and I think that was when Kane got injured. We then picked up 10 points out of a possible 24 (8 games) and were 5th, 10 points behind Chelscum who were top. In 6 of those 8 games we didn't score more than 1 goal. That's where we lost the title.

Agree. We were in top form after City home game, but international break after that game was bad for us...

Poch of course pointed out that this was a busy time for us juggling Europe and the league whereas Chelsea could just focus on one thing and play far less games. we will learn from this and next year all the top teams will have Europe to deal with ... no free passes for the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool

After the cup final Chelsea will have played a total of 47 matches compared to our 53 after the Hull game.

Who is Lesniak??

And why did we play him? Hopefully not in preparation for a sale this summer, because he looked composed!

@Cornpattbuck: re my comment about Kane, while I'm glad for him, had it been a closer match those passes that he should have made may have come back to haunt us. There was one attempt where he tried to score from within our half and Wanyama had a free run in; there were other examples. Poch was asked how Kane would have felt had he been taken off on two goals like Son, but he dodged the question. His decision was proved right as Kane scored four, and Son is clearly not as clinical a finisher; but he did score the best goal of the night.

Kane is greedy. It's a good quality to have as a centre forward that scores obscene amounts of goals.

He also has 7 assists this season so he's not all bad lol.

Yes, it's correct, but 6 (or 7 really, given that the FA Cup final is after the league season is over) is still quite a big difference. Especially when you consider that the extra games, like all European games, were squeezed into midweeks when Chelsea had no matches to worry about, no travelling, normal training focussed on the upcoming league match etc...

A very significant advantage, I'd say.

It doesn't sound many when put like that (6 or 7 games) but each one of those extra games we played impacted on the games before and after them. Before because of resting players for them etc and after because of training and preparing for the next. plus there's always less time to recover from knocks or slight strains.

People seem to be upset by what I wrote. The point of it was to compare how we are reticent to give any compliment to Sissoko to the same reticence to criticise Kane. Look, I'm the same as most people when Sissoko gets the ball: I wonder what on earth is going to happen next and am pleasantly surprised when it doesn't boomerang off his foot to the opposition. But our team is built on the collective, so that was why I made the reference to Kane. I'm really happy he scored four, especially as I wanted to see Leicester battered for how they were towards us and Kane.
