They were our 2 most lethal weapons second half of last season. Now they are more like blunt instruments. Berbatov doesn't care and Lennon seems to have lost everything. lots of criticism of our goalkeepers, defenders and CM's. But when you have 2 players capable of terrorising defences but who are not showing up it is not surprising we struggle. On the lennon isssue it is clear to me that it just won't work to play Lennon and Bale as the wide men in a 4-4-2 since we have no real ballwinner and no effective playmaker in CM. Bale has been our best player so as long as he stays fit I can only see Lennon as a sub and on present form that is all he merits.

Coaches. Players come. Look great. And we train them hard/wrong for sessions on end and make them a LOT worse than they are.

Hasn't Lennon been injured? Anyway, I agree with the monkey - it's a team game. Berbatov has perfomed way below our expectations, but it seems hars to single him out, or any other individual, when the whole team is not performing.

the worrying thing for me is that none of our youngsters are showing any sign of improvement. Even the likes of dawson and defoe, who are seasoned professionals have taken backward steps. As for Robbo, it's embarrassing enough calling him a professional footy player these days. what the hell is going on??

Spurs should ditch Berba - Harry

Harry Redknapp mind your own business for goodness sake!

He's spot on though...isn't he?

When Carrick left most fans were giving it the "no point in holding onto a player who's heart isn't in it". Well here we are, similar situation, different player.....

And to the OP, I don't see how Lennon has let us down this season, he's hardly played.

The Soap opera continues...

He has a point yes but he is always talking about us, he should concentrate on his own team.

Ah, he's just doing what he's being paid to do, we are the story at the moment whether we like it or not. It'll continue this way until either Jol goes or we climb up the table.

more like dawson, robinson and chimbonda have let us down.

spurs have scored 20+ goals this season.

the problem is at the back not upfront. :eek:mg:

I agree with both the original post and the follow ups except on Lennon, he has been injured, played out of position and generally badly managed. From our brightest prospect we have made him into a second rate player at the moment.
