They buy, loan out and sell if they don´t find use for them. I can´t see why young talents would sign for them with the chances of making the grade is so slim but you have to say Kevin de Bryune made a pretty good career for himself even if he signed for chelsea.

They buy most of them without any intention of ever finding a use for them, it is a secondary revenue stream nothing to do with football, just market trading.
De Bruyne realised that they weren't treating him right and refused to go out on loan again, I stay here and you pay me whether you play me or not otherwise sell me, they were so in the barrow boy mindset they let go one of the ones they should have held onto.
