Thank you (y)

Then I have to say I'm somewhat perplexed.
Yeah, I'm not believing it. People love talking about the wingers cause they're fun exciting players but I just can't honestly believe they are a big priority for us.

Wasn't there itk that we would spend £70 million on someone if we considered them exceptionally talented cause i would put this guy into that bracket
I rate this guy but I certainly don't think he's worth that sort of money. He is still raw and is not worth 60/70 mil. That's a huge amount, if we were going to spend that then we should just get Fekir.

Especially with Moura getting a preseason. Unless we're looking at playing with two wide forwards

Winger only

Can play anywhere in behind the ST. Seen him live twice this season and Leverkusens 3in behind like to rotate. he sometimes takes to long to pass as his first intent is to try beat his man but that can be worked on and improved with experience

I understand he's really young but I have a hard time believing he could be a number 10 on a top team in the future. He's best fit for the wing and theres nothing wrong with that just a different skill set.

He doesn’t have to be? Lamelas best performances this season have been more central. When rotating Kane we can easily play False 9 with any combo of Son Lamela Bailey Lucas Eriksen Dele.

I agree he’s most likely to stay out wide. If we want one who’s comfortable playing inside and wide then Malcom would be a better fit

I was just simply responding to your post him being able to play centrally when I said he's a winger only, that meant in an ideal world you would keep him on the wing. I think Lamela is probably best as a 10 but is still adequate out on the right.

That was true when we had the best two fullbacks bombing up and down, pace and energy to burn.

With Walker gone and Rose still not near his best it’s possible we are looking for that pace to stretch wide a different way. We won’t get it from Trippier and Davies

Don't disagree that it has changed the dynamic but where are Eriksen and Dele going?

We're still primarily going to play with Eriksen and Dele behind Kane leaving one spot for an attacking mid. We currently have Lucas, Son and Lamela for that one spot.

Two of the CM/ACM in a 4141? I don’t know, it’s hard to gauge at the moment but your point is a good one and central to our current identity

Saw a lot of Leverkusen this season. Bailey would be well worth 60 million. Yes he's raw but he will still produce end product from the get go as he is fantastic at (indirect) set pieces. Best taker of a corner I have seen in years. He will get so much better. Kane would absolutely love having this kid in the team.

5 players for 3 positions (with both dele and Eriksen showing they can play a bit deeper as well) Other 3 being Moura Son and an other. I think Lamela could go this summer.

Not saying I agree with it, but can see a reasoning behind it.

Edit. I don’t disagree either. I don’t know what to think. That’s Poch’s job.

If we can't get Martial (which is looking more and more like we can't), then Bailey is my optimal summer signing. He's everything we've been missing in our team, and while Martial is admittedly a better player, Bailey might be a better fit.

What does Bailey do that Lucas and Son can't? How is he the optimal signing over a CM?
