What did he say?

Well I only caught the end but he talked about how much abuse he heard at Arsenal in the 80s and that pre-dated us singing yid army etc.

Overall they all were basically saying if we stop signing it then it will help the situation.

Every club has its fucking idiots but this club are on a different level.
They literally cannot stop. Just this week they’ve been racist and now anti semitic twice. The club’s lip service is just that, lip service. It’s time the authorities stepped in. Every season there’s at least 4 or 5 incidents with Chelsea supporters and there now at 3 this season with 6 months to go. You can ban those individuals but that wont do anything when it’s all the time. It’s an epidemic in the clubs support base. Closed stadiums to their supporters and/or point deductions have to come into play at some point. If they have to play listening to just the opposing fans with not one of their fans in sight enough, the club would maybe do something productive

Most people wouldn’t know it was an SS skull, surprised they didn’t make more the of hand of Ulster, nothing worse than what you see at European away games really.

I reckon that rankled with the RoI fanbase.

I can't imagine why a single (Republic of) Irishman would support Chelsea, what with their firm's links to Rangers (the Glasgow lot) and anti-anything-that-isn't-white-protestant mentality.

I suppose it's just glory hunting for the same reasons they have loads of African and Asian fans. They don't know about anything other than what happens on the pitch.

A cousin of mine is a Man U fan, his two sons are Chelsea and Man City fans. Weird bunch.

Most of my cousins are Liverpool supporters, they do scoot over odd occasion to take in a match, but they are all amazed I have been to more live Liverpool matches they they have.

My god he's a
My god, he's such a cretin. If spurs too call themselves the 'yid **** army' then he'd have more of a point. Perhaps if he'd referred to the chav army or rentboy army he'd also have a point (though I doubt if either would catch on).
The use of the word yid is as much about nullifying the meaning as it is about reclaiming anything. It's about making it a badge of honour and something to be proud of rather than a stick to beat people with..... A bit like when my boss calls me a lazy fuckwit that spend too long on here (cheers!) . He tries to make a point about context without understanding what context actually means. Some words are offensive by their very nature, whereas other words are offensive (and the extent to which they are offensive) by the context in which they are used.
Snowflakes that are so use to being offended by anything that they don't recognise when something truly offensive occurs.
Having said all that, I'm someone that isn't easily offended by words anyway, so perhaps I should be more considerate? I don't particularly adhere to the use of the word anyway, and think it's had its time, but the fact is now yid isn't used as an offensive word in isolation...... When meant as offensive It is always contextualised with the words filthy or fucking or wanker.

After beating Manchester City, Maurizio Sarri was also asked if he sees Chelsea as title contenders.

"I've never seen Chelsea like a contender for the title," he replied. "I always said that at the moment there are two teams a step ahead of us."

I'm hoping the role they are playing Kovacic end can help us get him in the end. He seems to be disappointing at Chelsea and thats cause they expect him to be their playmaker and I don't think thats his best role. He's best in a box to box position where he can transition the ball quickly to the playmaker.

Is it me or does the Chelsea goalkeeper spill a lot of balls and fail to hold onto all you would expect him to hold onto ?

He seems very average to me. When they signed him they said he wasn't the finished product, but they still made him the most expensive keeper in the world.

For me, he is like a lot of the average keepers out there who every now and then make a worldie of a save but then make a few errors. Certainly nowhere near becoming a top keeper.

I’d like to see all the articles that Martin Samuel has written about the Yid debate over the last few years. I suspect we’d see a particular slant to them in all of them.
He's a completley bitter twisted biased west ham Fan behind the facade of being football reporter... He just can't stop digging us out
