I don't think you can blame Sarri for their performance. This squad and club are toxic and if the manager doesn't bow down to the demands of the primadonnas then they stop playing.
All in all... Mercenaries... You can buy all the trophies you want but You can't buy passion and pride.

Sarri's not happy....

"I'm really angry about the approach that we adopted today," Sarri said.

"It's an approach we can't really accept."

In a remarkable news conference after the defeat, Sarri said he wanted to speak in his native Italian rather than English "because I want to send a message to my players and I want my message to be very clear".

"I have to say I'm extremely angry, very angry indeed," said Sarri, who took over as Chelsea manager at the start of the season. "This defeat was due to our mentality, more than anything else.

"This is something I can't accept.

"This group of players are extremely difficult to motivate."

"This is not a team that is going to be well known for its battling qualities but we need to become a team that is capable of adapting, possibly suffering for 10 or 15 minutes then playing our own football," Sarri said.

"You can find yourself in difficulties from time to time, but we need to react to those difficulties a lot better than we did today.

"Today we didn't play our own football."

"I don't think a player at this level can't be afraid to face up to their responsibilities.

"The best thing that can happen is that the players and I talk very openly about what happens.

"I am the person responsible for the players and it is important for them to have the attitude, and if they can't then maybe they shouldn't be playing at this level."

You never want to be accused of having a weak mentality against arsenal of all teams!

Its probably 80% Sarri and 20% players.
These players are at the top of their game and multi millionaires.
You cant treat them the same as Brian Clough did back in the day.
Man management is a massive part of getting a team performing these days.
If you're a player and you excel at a particular aspect of the game which gets you into such a position of earning £175k a week and then some knob jocky comes along and tells you he wants you to do something else, starts playing you in a different position and making demands of you that you cant meet, then you're going to be pissed off. The team start struggling, you dont really know wtf you're doing, youre not going to be happy or enjoy playing.
And then he publicly comes out and states you have an attitude problem!!!
Will you play better?
Whose to blame?
I dont think you can say its the players fault personally.

Playing with a striker and not going out playing the same way (as their fans accuse them of) might help.

Hopefully they go in a mood rather than turn up on Thursday.

Be interesting to see their reaction for the cup semi on Thurs. Will it fire them up or start a mini revolution?
Knowing our luck it will fire them up temporarily, and after the game with us they will revert to type and play when the can be arsed.

One of the key weapons that a traditional manager has always had is the power to get rid of malcontents in the squad and bring in players of his choice. However, it's become clear that Sarri (and Conte before him) isn't even on the circulation list regarding Chelsea's transfer business, so the players know he hasn't got the authority to put them in their place.

That’s why I love when likes of Kane, Winks, KWP and Skipp break through with us (not sure about Skipp but other three all spurs fans too).

Sarri losing it already, hasn’t even had his customary honeymoon season...

Mind you, no idea why he isn’t playing Rylan up top as even if not prolific Hazard plays so much better off him as do the other attacking players.

And also Barkley was playing nicely at start of season, Kanta, Jorginho and Kovacic just seems really negative.

You know Sarri could solve a lot of his issues by just playing Kante in his correct position.

Except it would undermine his one and only signing and probably the only one who belivesnin sarri
