As funny as it is. I think it's a disgrace, it seems they are singling out the PL.

UEFAixt innit geezer :sneaky:

I believe if they deserve it. I feel Real etc deserved it too but at least if they stick with it now there is precedent going forward.

That's great news. If only they could grow those kinds of balls when dealing with Man Shithole and PS-Bastard-G
That might be coming. By all accounts City are in serious danger of being kicked out of the champ lge.
Seems the new head of uefa is trying to sort out some of these clubs. Financially and player wise. Cap on loans is also in the offing .
Not a moment too soon.

Premier league are investigating City over FFP too now.

About fucking time.
I thought it was UEFA investigating them, not that it makes any difference, because we all know they'll find nowt. As for Chelscum, if they do face a transfer ban, they might have to recall some of the 35-40 or so players they're loaning to other clubs at any given time.

Which basically negates the punishment. They can stock up this summer then do a Spurs and be fine when it’s all said and done.
Oh so thats why we didnt sign any players, why didnt people make a bigger deal out of this?

The FA got fined ~£400k for turning a blind eye to Chelsea

Of course they are going to belatedly take a look at Citeh....

So I guess that makes the pricetag for city to keep the FA quiet £500k

If the likes of City and Chelsea didn’t cheat and financially dope, there’d be nothing to single out.

I’ve absolutely no sympathy.

The precedent was set when they allowed the 3 Spanish clubs to delay their ban once they appealed.

If they were going to change that, they should have made a statement prior to charging the chavs, as far as I know they didn't, FWIW I don't think a club should be allowed to delay the ban. But I can see why the chavs are pissed and had it been us we would be raging against FIFA/UEFA

I don't think they would have needed to tell Chelsea as it wasn't relevant until Chelsea appealed and they didn't know Chelsea would appeal, technically anyway. I think they could rightfully argue that it was a loophole that has been used to avoid the punishment and that loophole is now closed, as long as they consistently uphold that position from now on the are on solid ground. I also look forward to a cap on loans, Chelsea will have to pay everyone's wages or have a fire sale.

They are looking to nail them (and City) on FFP not what the chavs and Spanish clubs have done, right??

City and PSG FFP
The Spanish clubs and Chelsea illegal payments to players.

Either way they aren't just looking at the premier League.

They do, but with a transfer ban they won't be allowed to activate it. They've negotiated and paid for a clause which is now entirely worthless to them.

If only he was any good then we could have got him just to piss them off

Surely Chelsea just pursue an appeal through the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Worked for Real Madrid after a failed FIFA appeal.

Also, it's said that they can still sign players but not register them during said ban. So although detrimental to a players career, and highly unlikely, they could still snaffle some good talent, especially in the second window if the ban is upheld.

I’d assume they’d buy people and loan them back to snap up the talent. Either way, they’re going to be forced to work with the squad they have already next season. Hazard could well leave, and the likes of Willian aren’t getting any younger.

This would be the perfect opportunity for Chelsea to get a young manager in and build a project, they’ve got bags of talented youngsters. Flog the trouble makers in the squad, get some young blood in and fix the issues in the club that keep causing managers to get sacked after 12-18 months.

They won’t, but that’s what I’d do if I was in charge.
