That's because you're a decent person, but it's not really what I was asking. Do you hold clubs accountable for all crimes that their fans commit regardless of if they were on match days, or had anything do do with football?

Clubs should be responsible for ensuring their fans behave inside their ground and for advising them of their expected behavior. You can't make them responsible for everything they do outside of the ground, especially incidents on a non-matchday or miles from the ground. I just don't see how punishing everyone in the ground will help in those situations?
When it is attached with a football match, yes I do hold the club responsible.

The new misconception is 'banana' - which made it 'racist' !

It was a banana skin which was litter. The press prefer banana because it makes a bigger story with lurid headlines.

The 57 yr old guy is a Greek/Greek Cypriot - not saying he couldn't be a racist- a but definitely a twat.

Just like that imbecile pitch runner.

It doesn't matter if it's a banana or a banana skin, it's still going to be seen as racist by the majority of people who see the incident.

We can try and stick up for him saying that he didn't intend it to be racist and he wasn't thinking, but that's probably exactly the same thing that most of the blokes in that video are going to say.

It’s a moot point anyway. Chelsea’s immune to needed action being taken against then. Just like all clubs are. The ruling body’s are entirely too weak willed to properly go after this stuff and punish it correctly
No, you're absolutely right on that score - there simply isn't enough being done. It's pretty appalling really. I blame the obsession with monetising football above all other considerations.

Just you watch. I bet you we (THFC) get more severely punished for the one pitch invading moron, than any of the "joke fines" that are dished out for racism that Danny Rose (rightly) mentioned the other week.

The powers that be seem more interested in punishing managers for ‘bringing the game into disrepute’ (see what’s just happened to Warnock) than tackling some of the real problems. Because apparently, racist behaviour is perfectly reputable...

He’s been charged by the FA after his comments about the refereeing in Cardiff’s game against Chelsea.

Anyone who’s anyone saw how bad the decision making was, and it could be argued that it robbed Cardiff of at least a point.

nail on head..........revolting vile football club

Chelsea have a serious deep-rooted generations-old problem with racism – it’s time for them to prove otherwise
Mo Salah is the latest in a long line of targets hit with vile racist abuse by so-called Chelsea fans
By Dave Kidd
LET’S make no bones about this. Chelsea Football Club have a serious deep-rooted generations-old problem with racism.
Four thugs convicted of aggravated violence after shoving a black commuter on a Paris Metro to the sound ‘we’re racist and that’s the way we like it’. Chelsea.

The latest incident involving Chelsea racists saw fans sing that Mo Salah was a 'bomber'
Raheem Sterling abused by vile middle-aged hooligans, they say not racially-motivated, but their faces contorted with hate, a snapshot which tainted the Premier League football before the world. Chelsea.
Anti-semitic chanting and a Nazi flag in Hungary just weeks after the abuse of Sterling had shaken English football. Chelsea.
And now Mo Salah sickeningly branded a ‘bomber’ in a Prague bar before last night’s Europa League. Chelsea.
These Chelsea fans hate blacks. These Chelsea fans hate Jews. These Chelsea fans hate Muslims.
Even though their club has black and muslim players. Even though the billionaire who transformed their fortunes is Jewish.
Chelsea FC, from one of the most diverse, cosmopolitan cities on Earth, cannot hide behind excuses of ignorance.

Let’s not brush this off by calling it ‘society’s problem’ and call it what it is: a Chelsea problem.
Chelsea. A football club whose support base has harboured racists for half a century. From the National Front to the neo-cavemen of the ‘Football Lads Alliance’ era.
Of course there are racists at all English football clubs and serious problems among other support bases.
Of course there are racists across Europe and the wider world.
In Eastern Europe, where England’s black players suffered sickening monkey chants last month, the excuse is a lack of integration and education.
At Chelsea FC, from one of the most diverse, cosmopolitan cities on Earth, they cannot hide behind excuses of ignorance.
STANDS MUST BE CLOSED
Time after time after time. Chelsea. Chelsea. Chelsea.
We could use the same old cliches and say they are shaming English football.
But why should English football really shoulder the blame? Why, when these are Chelsea-supporting knuckle-draggers?
Again and again and again.
If they cannot stamp out this despicable lowlife and they clearly can’t then stands must be closed, Stamford Bridge must be closed and points must be deducted.
Too often we point fingers at UEFA for not doing anything about foreign racists.
It is time we got our own house in order first. And Chelsea’s house, in particular.
The club have strongly condemned racism repeatedly this season but even that has not been enough.
There is a decent majority of Chelsea fans who hate racism, we are always told, and presumably that is true.
These aren’t men at all. They are vermin and filth. Chelsea vermin and Chelsea filth
Dave Kidd
And now is the time for them to prove it.
To turn on their ‘own’. And to root out this cancer infecting their club.
The Chelsea-supporting journalist Dan Levene has taken an admirable lead, in particular about the use of the word ‘Y*d’ in so many chants.
This has had a positive effect and significantly reduced instances of that particular blight.
But whenever Levene mentions the issue on social media, you can bet he will be met with abuse, sinister threats and dim-witted ‘whataboutery’ from pathetic racist apologists.
From grown men who feel that European away days, in particular, are an excuse to get tanked up and spew boorish, braindead abuse across the great cities of Europe.
Grown men who feel they have the right to scream insults into the face of one of the world’s finest footballers, Sterling.
The abuse they freely admitted, hoping it would put off one of the Premier League's best players. But those involved denied it was racist abuse.
Big brave men who can’t handle the strength of Czech lager and feel the need to castigate another footballing great, Salah, because of his race and religion.
These aren’t men at all. They are vermin and filth.
Chelsea vermin and Chelsea filth.
It is Chelsea who should hang their heads in shame.
And it is Chelsea who must get their wretched house in order.

Ridiculous. I honestly think he did brilliantly to restrain himself during & after the game. Just standing there staring at the officials was brilliant.

Chelsea won't ban anyone. If they did, their ground would be half full most of the time.

I don’t know how they continuously get away with it. The PL should be closing stands or something to punish the fans.

I don't know how the FA can keep a straight face when fining Warnock about criticising refereeing decisions, given that he is a qualified referee!
