Conte worked hard to get sacked. Credit to him (y)
Well, the longer they left it, the less they have to pay him.

Also, they will have been arguing that Conte helped create this situation by how he handled Costa, and lowballing his payoff as a result.
It's that true? I thought that they had to pay him for the remaining length of his contract? Whether they'd sacked him six weeks ago, or now he's still due the same amount of money isn't he? Isn't it more to do with getting a replacement?
I dont think he has been sacked

The statement says they have parted ways and sky sports suggested that they make take their case to court due to the treatment of costa

Speaking as an employment lawyer, he has definitely been sacked. The only possible options are resigned, sacked and mutually agreed termination.

He obviously hasn't resigned, and if it was mutually agreed then there wouldn't be arguments about money; it would be a clean break.

Chelsea can't take it to court. Conte could if he doesn't agree a payoff, and in that instance Chelsea could potentially use his treatment of Costa against him, but it would be a pretty weak argument, because they kept him employed for the whole season.

Ronaldo - Hazard - Jorginho/Sarri - Conte. etc. Standard football dominoes. Seems similar to when we were spending the Bale money before announcing we’d sold him. That’s where their cash has come from imo.

Hazard going would be brilliant
Hmmm. I kind of agree but while he is world class he is also a sulking prick.
I think he has also played a big part in their recent failures to finish in top 4.
While I doubt he'll be replaced by anyone of equal quality I also doubt he'll be replaced by anyone who is such a disruptive prick.

He’s their only real world class player. I’ll drive him to the airport... hmm maybe drug him and drive him to Hotspur Way, everyone speak Spanish until he’s signed on the line :sneaky:(y)

Not sure which I would enjoy more: Chelsea losing major stars and struggling to maintain their appearance as an elite European side or Real Madrid and Barcelona failing to land their major targets and struggling to keep face as one of the top 5 elite European sides who always get what they want... Can I get both?

If chavski sign Golovin as well as Jorginho, keep hold of Kante, Fabregas & Bakayoko, and can't shift English "hopefuls" Barkley and Drinkwater, it'll be pretty crowded in Sarri's likely 3 man midfield.

RLC and Mount must be considering their futures.

Of the two, I think Mount has more potential. But I wouldn't give him chances at Spurs ahead of Josh Onomah.

Mount is on loan at Derby under Lampard/Morris. One to watch.

This is an interesting list of keepers that feel like someone just drew names out of a hat.
