So could Juventus cancel the loan to Milan then or is it Milan that sent him back? :sour:

So apparently Higuain can play in the second semi final leg against us? How is that in any way fair? Surely the squad should be registered and the same as the first leg?

Sounds odd indeed. But then if we went out and got a shiny new star we would possibly want the same.

Bad that CFC can just do this with all the loan players they already have.

There must be some limit somewhere for sanity's sake, that they can effectively ship in anyone anytime there is a transfer window. The game is a whorebag now.

Sarri's not happy....

"I'm really angry about the approach that we adopted today," Sarri said.

"It's an approach we can't really accept."

In a remarkable news conference after the defeat, Sarri said he wanted to speak in his native Italian rather than English "because I want to send a message to my players and I want my message to be very clear".

"I have to say I'm extremely angry, very angry indeed," said Sarri, who took over as Chelsea manager at the start of the season. "This defeat was due to our mentality, more than anything else.

"This is something I can't accept.

"This group of players are extremely difficult to motivate."

"This is not a team that is going to be well known for its battling qualities but we need to become a team that is capable of adapting, possibly suffering for 10 or 15 minutes then playing our own football," Sarri said.

"You can find yourself in difficulties from time to time, but we need to react to those difficulties a lot better than we did today.

"Today we didn't play our own football."

"I don't think a player at this level can't be afraid to face up to their responsibilities.

"The best thing that can happen is that the players and I talk very openly about what happens.

"I am the person responsible for the players and it is important for them to have the attitude, and if they can't then maybe they shouldn't be playing at this level."

I would be torn really. I generally like Argentian players, but he is a fat bastard.

May as well bring in Maradonna

Be interesting to see their reaction for the cup semi on Thurs. Will it fire them up or start a mini revolution?

Like Mourinho he needs to take a long hard look at himself.
YOU Sarri are the one playing players out of position so YOU arent getting the best out of them.
That is YOUR job, to get the best out of them. Not the players but yours.
And like Maureen it looks to me like he's trying to get sacked, get a big pay day and fk off back to warmer climes.

That dressing room must be poison.

But if he's already saying they're "very hard to motivate", I suspect he might not be there much longer.

It's quite amusing. His cunning plan to base everything around Jorginho somehow worked until everyone belatedly realized that it wasn't actually that cunning, and marked him out of the game - while the best DM in the world wanders around on the side of midfield.

Jorginho must be one of the most overrated players in the league. He can pass it sideways and backwards very nicely, and that's it. Their build-up play is so laborious. Today they were atrocious. 60% or so possession, but no goal threat.

They'll probably thrash us on Thursday, now I've said that.

I don’t understand how Koviac (spelling ?) is keeping Barkley out of their side. Why does he keep selecting him as a starter ?

I think it’s great. Nothing unmotivates a team more than the manager slagging them off. Great timing.

I don't think you can blame Sarri for their performance. This squad and club are toxic and if the manager doesn't bow down to the demands of the primadonnas then they stop playing.

I doubt Sarri is trying to get sacked, but he can see that some of the players don't believe in what he's trying to do and the way he wants to play. It probably doesn't help that he didn't seem to like their main strikers either. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out over the rest of the season.

It's been that way for years, and we can hardly complain about it, when Redknapp was in charge and we re-signed Defoe after a Semi First Leg against Burnley we played him in the Second Leg, and he scored a crucial goal after we'd pissed away a 3 goal lead from the home leg.
