How are Liverpool and Arsenal letting players just clear off on a free (providing this happens)? It just strikes me as gross negligence to have a capped young player or top player running his deal down so you stand to get nothing. Crazy really.

Juve have apparently offered him 85k per week, which shows what a sad state our league has become when Liverpool will undoubtedly have to pay nearly double that for a replacement.

It makes bad business sense on every level - easiest way to make money/lose money in football is through players, hence Levy's obsession with getting a good deal.

Although maybe their Keita deal is a factor here.
