Getting to the semis of the CL gives the Mickey fans a cover story to say they tossed off the Carabao Cup match to Leicester and the FA cup match to West Brom for greater glory.

We tried that after the defeat to west ham in the cup.

But they still haven't played a big side all competition apart from City, and we already can see City are fading.

City were the favourites though. Most sides won't have played as many tough teams as we had to play to get to the quarter finals.

I was getting a far bit of stick regarding the Kane ghost goal over the past few days from a Liverpool and Arsenal Fan. I sent them a wee whatsapp message with the Sturridge link, and there as been no mention regarding the award of the ghost goal today. But we do a wee football bet between us and the Liverpool fan has picked Man City this weekend, and I asked him what was his basics for this and he replied that they will be out to prove people wrong, fuck I love the bitterness from them.
I must wind him up about a dinner time about them failing to beat us this season, and how we are still in the hunt for the League mathematically.

That's some narrative. I'm not sure you can argue that City are fading. Liverpool just out played them.

I think city WILL be up for it. Their pride is at stake. Whereas had theu won then they would have taken their foot off the bpedal i believe. Anyhow i still believe we can beat them with our squad at Wembley, but they will just be hungrier for the win... Will be an interesting game. I want us to win and keep the pressure for 3rd.

Let's see how they do against a team like Madrid. I don't think their defense is good enough to handle Ronaldo and co.

They handled a better attack in Man City though?

I think where Madrid will come up trumps over Liverpool or anyone else left in the comp is their experience, mentality and shithousery, no one can match them for that.

Liverpool v City was a 'Win Win, Lose Lose' situation for me. Wanted both of them to fail for different reasons. At least I'll have a clear idea who I want to win in the next round.

I reckon the best thing for us is Liverpool beating City, meaning they're now low on morale for our game against them, but Liverpool staying in the CL for another round to take their eye off the premiership. As long as Liverpool don't win the whole thing then this is the best result for us IMO.

Saying that the only decent team they’ve beaten all season is city. They failed to beat united chelsea and us and haven’t faced an elite European team.

Trent Alexander Arnold looks a proper player. He looked after Sane for two games which we haven't managed and I rate Trippier very highly (he was better today but Sane still had a couple of beast runs).

That was one of the funnies the moments in football. I wonder is the poor kid trumatize by the incident. The goal should have been disallowed since the ball came in contact with the beach ball. But still.... Hell of a joke.
