The sheer delusion that exists from their support is entertaining. Salah dives and they excuse/defend/justify it no matter what. It’s like reasonable thinking goes completely out the window when it comes to discussing their team.

The meltdown after the champions league final is only the tip of the iceberg. Even if they win it this year, which obviously nobody wants bar the media and seemingly the premier league officials unfortunately, at some point Klopp and co will have a monumental meltdown which make Brendan Rogers behaviour look normal!

Wish Mike Dean would hurry up and referee a Liverpool game. He makes it all about himself so he's bound to do something that Liverpool won't like.

He doesn’t seem to officiate their games. Very strange???

This season

All time (only two games)

Larger amount of games. They are the only top 6 team he doesn’t officiate.

He's from the Wirral, so there's a good reason he never refs Liverpool. This from his Wikipedia.

Dean was originally appointed to referee the 2006 FA Cup final at the Millennium Stadium on 13 May 2006 but the Football Association later replaced him with Alan Wiley after concerns were raised about Dean's ability to be impartial towards Liverpool, who are based near his hometown in Wirral.[4] Dean made it to the Millennium Stadium eight days later though, when he refereed the Championship play-off final between Leeds United and Watford.

Yep...spot on. It appears it's something they don't encourage, officiating teams from areas you reside or grew up and had strong connections with.

That's fair enough. We are stuck with him then!

Mind you if his allegiances are that strong then his integrity has to be top notch when refereeing the other top teams

Can’t see Liverpool not winning it now. Everything going there way the goals yesterday we’re just mainly pure luck , seem to steam roll small teams as well . Over the 90 mins Liverpool’s tempo was so quick and powerful .

I can't just say it's Dean, I'm of the view that alot of the officiating has been pretty shoddy this season. Not just regarding us either.

Undeniably, IMO.

I think it might be as simple to explain as that football has improved so much over the past two decades. The intensity, tempo, physicality and technique is beyond any 90s footballer's wildest dreams, and referees are simply struggling more and more to keep up with it. They have to be extremely physically fit and also able to spot incidents that occur in a fraction of a second at a very high tempo. It's just become too difficult a job to do without assistance.

Which is why I'm totally in favour of VAR in the long term. The problem with VAR today is that English refs clearly don't know how to use it. It was pretty good at the WC but every League Cup and FA Cup game where it's been used this season it's been a bit shit.

Yeah we do struggle with it here.

We need clarification in the rules regarding contact too. Salah absolutely dived yesterday but some morons will argue that contact was made so it was a foul. There needs to be a real lone in the sand drawn regarding ENOUGH contact. Simply saying contact made, it’s a foul is nonsense. If someone brushes my shoulder I don’t lose my footing and arch my back. The reaction has to be justified imo.

I think they’ll go full tilt for the CL, and we’ll see them dip here and there in the league as a result. Personally feel City are better at balancing the two but who knows.

The first one out the CL wins the league.

Salah has deleted his Twitter having been called out for his diving. Meanwhile Harry Kane has been abused by Salah, his team mates, the whole fan base of the PL and still remains on social media and gets abused every day.

What a fanny Salah is.
