I reckon it will be like a six month suspension from Sky and they'll bring him back after the September International break low-key to start with. He can have no complaints if he does get sacked though, crazy thing to do.

They should make him earn his keep by polishing Charlie Nicholas' earrings and making sure Merson doesn't run out of crayons.

I think they probably want to keep him, but it may come down to what their sponsors demand. If they threaten to pull the plug if he's kept on then he's going to lose his job.
If they sack him he can easily go into the car wash business at his nearest Sainsburys car park.

"Ay, you wanna caa wash mate? Hcchhhh"

It makes me think that a lot more went on that didn't make the clip.
Im not defending him, it was disgusting.

Anyone else kinda surprised by the fathers reaction immediately after the spitting? Almost like he was happy? Im not a father but I feel i'd have lost my shit completely if someone spat at a member of my family.

The video didn't look like it was edited though so I don't see what other 'goading' could have occured. Carragher wouldn't have heard the other driver until his window was down so it literally just appears to be the father shouting out the score a couple of times.
I'm pretty sure if there was some further provocation that wasn't included in the video then Carragher would have made sure the media know about it by now.

Instead of thinking someone has just spat on my daughter he was just thinking about how much money he could make out of it. He even said “nice” twice and I don’t think he was being sarcastic either just saw those £ signs

He has said he was goaded 3 or 4 times, so there was obviously stuff going on beforehand.
As I said, I'm not defending him, but that clip was cut to the length it was to make Carragher look as bad as possible, it's naive to think that's all there was to the altercation imo.

Agreed, it's rather ironic that the only one of the three involved who displayed any level of maturity was the 14 year old whilst having to put up with being spat on by a 40 year old man and having a father who cared more about filming the altercation than worrying that his daughter had just been subjected to what is technically common assault. The fact she was acting like the adult and telling him to stop is a sad state of affairs.

They should make him wear the United outfit and sit with the United fans at OT when they play pool next season in the PL and let them spit on him bukkake style. :D
